If the techonolgy is so good----Why is Honda the only OEM buying and using it, and then only on 2 vehicle models? What am I missing---Are they all waiting for CDTI to belly up and buy the tech at bankruptcy auction?
Clgl I think if there are large purchases on the tape they are primarily " Short Covering" Face it a short interest of roughly 30% it leaves plenty of buying potential out there.
XGRK---Please share the contact site, phone # and I'm sure may will reflect their wishes and possibly where they would wish to see mgt in the after life.
HWAN----Decision such as Buy backs are not done at the snap of ones fingers. There are significant proceedures that must be followed. One cannot just decide Monday will will buy back Friday. I believe a shareholder vote re a BoD proposal must be voted upon. Stock buy backs unfortunately take time.
Turbo---I was not confident with the article I read stating the " Strong Sell" Rating. How reliable is your source re that " Hold" rating?
Short interest figures posted today as of 9/15/2014. Short interest for PGN grew to 24,592,338 increased 7,724,757 since 8/31/2014. Now the short interest 8/31/2014 was stated as 20% of the float I thought with the way the stock was being beat down that the short interest would grow to 22--maybe 24%.
Well, the way I compute the current short interest stands at an unbelievable rate of more than 30% of the float.
Does anyone else think that something must be done to control these unbridled short selling raids.?
Turbo----I don't think much of any of the " Talkers" who have been so wrong in last 2 qtrs estimates that it is not funny. In spite of thier dismal record of projecting earnings----their must be a wagon full of believers since stock has been destroyed.
Can anyone confirm and give brief synobysis of the reason for a ' Strong Sell" Also if anyone cares to divulge any other super " Talker" opinion re Ne that would be appreciated.
clgl---I would agree with you if the damn dividend were not 2 months away. Shorts have at least 7 weeks before the need to worry about paying a dividend on borrowed shares. On top of the fact a measely .125 dividend is not going to scare a short to buy.
Turbo---Agreed----in the current decimile market place the 'Up Tidk "rule is obsolete. Something must be done to control these unbridled short sale raids. Short selling was contained and controlled for decades with the " Up Tick " rule. i do not believe this rampet short selling is healthy for the overall market---Nearly wrecked us all in 2008.
Cheng---Short Sales were healthy once when they were limited to the up tick rule-- that was when it was controlled. The unbridled short selling permitted these days is far from healthy. The shortv selling raids versus the banking and brokerage shares in 2008 very nearly brought the entire financial system in this country to it's knees. Driving a stock down with short selling by 10-15% in one day is not healthy. I defy someone to justify such market behavior.
Weak Oil-----Problem I hear on 60 Minutes is that ISIS is selling oil on open market at $30 . Selling stolen oil , from oill fields they took,to raise cash to buy more terrorist and driving price of oil down for legitimate providers who must sell some of their product---SO another reason to combat ISIS
PJH---How accurate?-----Well, if we predict how accurate the talkers will be based on their most recent performance with earnings estimates ---I'd say their chances are less than 90%
