    Q2 reported - a record

bankrupt the company? with a sexual assault claim or a recall? i don't agree with that. and 10% year over year would not be that big of a deal except they have been doing that for YEARS. do you have any examples of other companies that have been growing revenues and net income at such a rate for so long?

no news, appears to me to just be a big buyer rocking the boat. someone was gobbling shares up in droves right there at close.

we were all worried about q1 results as well. either way, one quarter miss on our expectations is not a huge deal in the bigger picture. look at 10 year history of growth, its like clockwork.... and usually goes in little spurts. they added equipment to increase production in the coming years, they wouldn't install new equipment for nothing.

also, i seriously doubt anyone has knowledge that has not been given out publicly.

the thing is, it just got into way overvalued territory. if you use graham's model Armanino would be worth somewhere in the high 40M range.

  • two sides to the argument, but either way, i love the volume. over 100k shares traded today. no increase in divi is not a big deal. we have lots of cash ready to be deployed; and going by ed pera's track record, i believe he has an idea of how he is going to distribute that to us shareholders, whether it be increased divi, special, repurchase, or reinvestment into more equipment. preferably the latter, as growth is key to moving the needle from here. i could see us trading sideways for the foreseeable future, but who knows. i'm more worried about 3 years down the road than 3 months down the road. heck, might even have some wonderful buying opportunities if mr. market gets impatient again.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • tons of selling going on....its prettty unreal.. we don't sell food products to ukraine! keep on going down baby! thought we had reached the bottom between 1.72-1.75 but looks like i was wrong. i'm loading my guns, getting more cash ready. no plans to sell this company in the next 3 years- this downtrend appears to be turning into another incredible opportunity. looking at like 14.5x this years earnings with approaching 4% divi.

the sip sip sip machines also send info daily back to the producers, coke and pepsi, that allow them to collect massive amounts of data about consumers choice of beverage and flavor. definitely not a step back buddy. quite the opposite my friend- i'd call it progressive.

armanino foods, amnf. try to poke a hole in it please. record quarters the past 2 years. pulled back 15% digesting its gains, great buying opportunity. at this price 3.7% divi.... bet they increase it in june too

bellbell what are your thoughts here? i am comfortable picking up blocks at 1.75 when i can.... which has been more or less daily. i bought the bulk of my shares between .90 and 1.09... probably picked up 45k there. im up to 70k shares now with average of like 1.30 or so. i just dont see this thing dipping below the 50m market cap number. at that price you are looking at double digit returns as opposed to 3-5% from the likes of cononco, kimberly clark, pepsi, waste management, ect. not trying to fight the tape, just know that this business will be worth a lot more than 54m in 3-5 years. in my opinion, if it drifts lower to the 50 million mark we will see some very sharp money coming in. would you agree with this???? i try to poke holes in this company but it is close to flawless. one thing i would like to see is maybe no special and ed use that cash to reinvest in growth. because ultimately, that is where our above average returns are going to come from.

the receivables haven't drastically increased in the past few quarters or anything. my thinking was this is more of a timing of payments reporting thing and timing of accounting reporting. correct me if i'm wrong please, i really don't know.

awesome, i've been checking every couple days waiting on that thing. yep same old good stuff going on here....

inventory was down a tiny bit compared to december. we know ed only makes food he is about to sell, so might be an indication of roughly same gross sales for 2nd quarter as first.

but yes, i agree, no negative jumps out at first glance. believe this is a great time to be acquiring more shares or starting a position- fair price right now for a quality business

  • A big buyer is back. 18k shares at 1.77- always nice to see that.

    2013 cash

good point- did not include the cd. they are definitely more cash heavy than normal, but as you said, given how conservative they are i think this divi will stick at .016. i'm really just trying to poke all the holes in it i can......

but yes, SO solid. and to be honest, this is just about my only equity investment. i've been selling off my blue chips the past few weeks as they keep knocking on record highs and picking up more armanino shares at the 53-54m mark (1.75). If we drift any lower than 50m i expect some major buyers to step in.......

  • wrb335 by wrb335 May 12, 2014 10:26 PM Flag

fyi... was just reviewing financials.... 2013 year end cash appears more inflated than it actually is when compared to prior year. 2012 they paid an early divi for tax reasons.... 2013 shows 2.3m on the books, but they still had not paid the 512k. so call it 1.8m in cash compared to 2012's 1.3.

i remember there was discussion about how much cash they had- and i probably agreed. special or increase is not guaranteed in my opinon.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • well, after this week i'm thinking we might float in this range for a bit longer than i expected. but that's fine, got nothing but time. hopefully no one fills the order.... want to see it get down to about 50-52m and i'll buy another big chunk

    Sentiment: Buy

agreed don't hold back but make whoever is selling sell at 1.82 or below. we don't need everyone pushing this thing up..... lets try to keep it below 1.8 until at least the next press release
