Good luck on the fishing clam. Right now, in my neck of the woods, we are at the beginning of the largest salmon runs up the Columbia River in perhaps 40-50 years. Nothing like a 6 oz salmon fillet cooked in butter and dill, a baked potato and a nice salad along with a beverage of your choice unless it is a great clam dish which I sometimes have trouble resisting.
Given the way I golf, that might be a bad omen. Hope all works out well with this launch as we need a bit of a boost(er) for the share price.
As long as it steadily rises and reaches a price at which I will be comfortable parting with some shares (about $4), I will be happy. Any other info you can learn from Poplar is always welcomed also especially in terms of total barrels achieved and the CO2 project.
I hate to admit to ignorance but it is good for the soul when necessary. So, can you explain how an exchange can accumulate shares? Do they, behind the scenes, act as a conduit for a company that might want to take a stake in another without a lot of publicity? Thanks networth.
I want to take this opportunity to once again thank you for your updating posts about Montana drilling in the Poplar Dome area. Keep up the good work.
Information bashers are fed is always prejudiced by the political or economic views of the supplier and readers should take that into consideration. For example, states that are attempting to study whether or not fracking has led to some earth tremors becomes FRACKING CAUSES EARTHQUAKES.
In 1961 JFK called for American ingenuity to put a man on the moon. In 8 years it was achieved. Yet now, we need 5 years just to build a rocket engine to regain some independence in this new space race. Makes no sense to me at all.
Nice. I was hoping for some actual oil news from Magellan and not headlines from a greenie reporter in Germany or speculation about earth tremors in Oklahoma.
Absolutely true. The number games that have gone to the extra 30 minutes is amazing and the level of play in many of the games has been outstanding. I am really enjoying this World Cup which has been more entertaining than the 2010 version.
There does not seem to be much of that as drops come on lower volume and since the foray back to the 1.60 level, the share price is approaching the level last seen prior to the Royal Geologic report. Horse hill has either spudded or is close too that event so much shall be revealed soon.
I mention 2015 only in the sense that the new plant is supposed to be providing better results but certainly the inability to convert increases in sales to better profits is disturbing. Some changes do need to occur. So, alex, what are you doing in regards to your shareholding involvement with the company. It seems to me that enough incentives are in place for those running the company and it is time for them to perform.
I think 2015 will be crucial for the company because, if inability to meet demand continues for much longer, purchasers will begin looking for more reliable sources especially if they can get the quality they want. Hopefully, by then, these legal issues will be sorted out and production from the new processing plant will increase reliability of deliveries. Not much can be done about the weather issues that may affect supply but we are all aware of that potential problem on a yearly basis. So, buy more in anticipation of better results in 6-9 months, hold on to what we have or just get out and wait for improvement are the choices. What say the other posters?
Perhaps spending a few million to find out if a large resource exists now is preferable to spending even more millions in the future to discover the same resource. I suspect there are large amounts of oil and gas not yet being utilized but which were discovered in the past. Of course Magellan may not find a partner and that has happened before also and the lease was lost due to not being drilled.
Of course Magellan will never know what they have unless they are able to find a partner and drill a well at no cost for Magellan in return for giving up a majority interest.
What is the business relationship between ORBCOM and Orbital? I cannot remember if ORBCOM was once part of Orbital or if they have ever been.
