If we play (and I think we cannot avoid it) defense in the Cup the way we played against our first round opponents, we will be dissected. Our back line is really struggling. And our offense ain't no great shakes either. Altidore had two or three excellent opportunities to break his scoring drought today and could not find the back of the net.
Got you to look. Haha! Oldest trick in the book. Your amusing comment about pet food just cannot quite top my fellow teachers calling my first horse Ghost Glue (and taping a picture of Elmer's Glue on my computer screen). His name was Ghost Wolf and he actually made money for the owners 7 out of 13 races.
Until some more wells delineate what is actually under the leases we really is there.
And you may not for "promising" that the shares would fall to 50 cents. Please don't demean yourself any more than you have by posting nonsense like this last post to me. And keep in mind that, despite the 60 cent decline, the shares are still up 70% from January.
Certainly we are hoping this decline eases soon and a new base develops but neither I or carson or net worth ever promised anything and speculative investments, as we know, can fall substantially especially after a large fast rise. But that is not to say we are happy about the BGS report etc. Management did not promise the sky based on that report nor have they promised the 8 or more dollar value and anyone claiming they have is delusional.
And, of course, the polls always depend on the way questions are asked. For example, the results will be quite different for these two questions. One: Do you want to keep sending your hard earned money to Middle East oil barons? Two: Do you think we should engage in drilling practices that cause our streams and rivers to be polluted?
I would think one would see a heck of a lot more people manning the barricades if most Brits really felt this was that important. Absolutely agree that some egregious foul ups have been made in extracting petroleum or coal or whatever but, unless these protestors are huddling around peat fires in miserable straw hovels, their rage is a bit theatrical. Is their clothing all natural? Did any of them drive to the sight in a gas burning vehicle? Did the Dart drilling pollute anything or do they just protest the existence of drilling rigs obscuring their views of nature? Whether the fracking argument wins the day for either side in the UK is yet to be determined and it will be some time before we know for sure but I am not sure the Brits will want to continue to pay ever increasing bills to foreign suppliers when they can get even part of their energy from domestic sources.
Avi, is your complaint that the drilling is for coal samples (I suspect the goal is seeking coal bed gas) and not conventional gas or is your complain that someone would dare point out that your anti fracking saints might engage in violent behavior?
The news was out all day but the shares only dropped 1 cent and then rose 5 cents after hours. I think that the UK government will make every effort to extract what oil they can from the Weald and their increased payments to the councils of the areas where drilling could take place indicates that goal. Even with the reduced estimates of recoverable oil, the chances of some deeper pocketed entity going after Magellan's acreage remains above average.
Anyone interested might be able to see Ms. Parker in the third race on TVG from Emerald Downs. It is a 30,000 dollar claimer for her but odds are really indicating that the oddsmakers are not sure on this race at all with the favorite being 5/2 and Ms. Parker at 9/2. It is a mile race and there is not much evidence as to whether or not this field can handle the distance. Hoping for a top 3 finish.
One would think that bobbo, avi, armspitharry (or whatever entity the One is currently channeling) would be pleased as punch with the BGS report of no gas and difficult oil in the UK. But no, they continue to pollute the message board with inane comments.
One side or the other is wrong on this and I wish I could figure out which but, in any case, I cannot help but feel that this downturn is overdone by at least half.
The shares I have in Marquee are now worth more than what I have in Sonde but Sonde management continues to draw a salary which, given what they have accomplished, is darn close to stealing IMO.
