That's the problem with the whole market trading system, not just AMZN. The trading in all the hedge fund favorites is RIGGEd! It doesn't matter what the company actually reports or its fundamentals. Its wall street's spin and complete control of trading in a stock. With market makers in the middle, computer controlled , high frequency trading and weekly options manipulation...the market is nothing but a casino. Just place your bets. Definitely can't buy and hold any of the hedge fund favorite stocks mentioned on CNBC daily. Such a manipulated market and the SEC is powerless to stop it, evidently.

The crooks have run all of the MoMo stocks up the same way. Right after earnings it pops and maintains that level all day. I wouldn't be surprised if you get your $80 level next week if the market doesn't tank. These crooks take turns "pushing up" stocks like AMZN, NFLX, TSLA, LNKD, GOOG, CMG etc together. No matter how high they go, it seems analysts take their turn at upgrading their price target week after week..usually on Thursdays or Fridays to influence options expiration. One day the music will stop it will be a quick ride back to reality for the overhyped stocks like CRM

It don't really matter what CRM the company is doing. The crooks controlling the stock price have decided where they need the stock price to be to screw the most options buyers! That's all this market has become since weekly options! If stocks actually traded on fundamentals and true company prospects, stocks like CRM, AMZN, NFLX, LNKD, TSLA, CMG, GOOG would not be continuously defying gravity on nothing but hype and creative accounting.

The REIT "idea" is just another one of Eddie Lampert's financial shenanigans to kick the can down the road a little while he continues to fleece the company, enriching himself and ESL. Notice the report mentioned the REIT won't happen until May/June... or may not happen at all ! If the REIT idea is such a good one why is it being floated over and over again with no real action to make it happen? furthermore, who wants a REIT of nothing but Sears stores at mostly outdated mall locations?

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • After that dismal report and the masterful Fast Eddie spin job.... I guess someone couldn't wait to buy 400 shares 1.35 higher than they could have paid yesterday. This company is on life support and there is no way any of Fast Eddie's financial tricks or "transformation" spin is going to help. He is only enriching himself and ESL while he drains the assets out of the company.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • What a racket these crooks have !! No stopping the crooks running this market. Pump all the high flyers like AMZN, NFLX, TSLA, LNKD etc... kill low PE truly profitable AAPL. LOL Don't worry SEC ... there is no RIGGEd trading going on here. LOL

What prevents the Angie's list reviews from being bs? Any review on the Internet should be taken with a grain of salt. I just don't see the value in being a member. Most folks get honest reviews from friends, acquaintances, coworkers and relatives when it comes to getting repair work done. No need to pay for a membership especially when home repairs are not needed that often

Apple is not going to manufacture a car. If anything, they are trying to engineer a better battery for their electronic devices and possibly be used in EV's of other manufacturers. The media has once again taken a story and ran with it. Apple making an EV... really. If wall street really believed that story, TSLA would be tanking.

And the SEC apparently sees no manipulation occurring with these stocks. LOL !! So amazing these wall street favorite MoMo stocks like AMZN, TSLA, NFLX, LNKD, CRM etc continues to be manipulated around the weekly options, but the SEC is blind. These stocks seem to pop $5 to $10 on really no volume whatsoever, and then maintain that level. Meanwhile AAPL the true investment gem struggles to maintain a $1 gain without retracing on millions of shares traded. this market is a house of cards...just waiting for the catalyst where these MoMo stocks get a dose of quick reality.

"And the biggest number they reported was the cost of acquisition of a paid member. It was $27 after being $64 previously (i think it was in the $70s last year). "

Could the company just simply curtail advertising/marketing expenses for a quarter to save $$ and "game" the cost of acquisition number?

True.. their business model is evolving because it has to !! No matter what it evolves to, its not going to have sustainable profits with competitors doing the same. Nothing differentiates Angie's list from the competitors. How can you even compare what Angie's list is doing to Amazon Prime. It's not the same and truth be told ,Prime is not that great for Amazon's bottom line...its just wall street's spin. Amazon won't even publish the specific number of prime members..LOL. Even with all the high priced "enterprise level" talent coming in to Angie's list, it won't shore up a difficult business model. Sometimes companies bring in all this "talent" to appease wall street, but it usually only cost the company more money. Will this be a temporary pop in the stock or the beginning of a turnaround. My bet is .. its temporary.

If you say so !! The business model will not work for sustained long term profits. Down after the CEO appearance on CNBC. Free to consumer services available.....major competition.

Getting a little bit nervous about this market. The only direction seems to be up led mainly by MoMo stocks that very rarely go down. The FED seems to be complicit in creating "bubbles" since they are so concerned about how to signal the market. There is a total disconnect between some stock prices , the underlying company and its prospects. I want AAPL's stock to continue its appreciation, but we are in desperate need of a market correction to clear the "bubble" in the MoMo stocks like TSLA, LNKD, NFLX, CRM, AMZN etc. Maybe then some of that money will flow into the true investment gems like AAPL!

Don't read the FORBes or FORTUNe articles on AAPL. They are always negative. Starts with the negatively slanted headlines. They are just click bait to get you click on the article. It helps them with website advertisement.

Apple will never build an electric car ! Its not in the AAPLE DNA ! Why would they enter a capital intensive business like autos for little return and numerous headaches. All these rumors are nothing but that.... RUMORs! I believe they will create a product/system that they will sell to existing automobile manufacturers to integrate into the vehicle infotainment systems. The human/automobile interface is where they will concentrate their effort, IMO ! Apple is good changing the user experience for existing products by making consistent, cool and simple interfaces across all devices

There is no good news involving Sears. LOL ! Simple weekly option related manipulation as usual. Make a majority of put contracts expire worthless as possible !! That's the game with this stock and other hedge fund favorites. Nothing to do with what the actual company is doing.
