  • In the first quarter, streaming liabilities rose $626 million and there was deferred recognition of $1 billion in streaming content spending over the last two quarters. "It's crazy how they spend so much and nobody cares".
All you hear about is subscriber growth which means nothing if it doesn't come with earnings growth. Some day in the future, after Netflix stock flames out, some one is going to write a book about the shady trading going on in profit less stocks like AMZN, LNKD, NFLX, CRM etc.

You know the crooks have to sell their long positions first and then go short before they publically say the market is crashing. Such a Rigged system we have. Unfortunately it's the only game in town.

Wall Street is nothing but BS !! All smoke and mirrors ! Manipulation and Greed rules on the street. They don't even try to hide it any longer. You would think after the financial crisis of 2008 that the financial regulatory agencies would be a lot more vigilant, but apparently not. How do you explain the rise in stocks like NFLX, AMZN, LNKD, TSLA over and over again when their actual business prospects doesn't support it? The SEC jumped all over the marijuana stock trading and halted trading because of possible fraud, but they won't dare touch stocks like NFLX. If a stock can go up $70 after a huge EPS miss and a forecast below next quarter's estimate then odds are the trading is RIgged. As I stated before the earnings were announce, it didn't matter what NFLX reported, it was the spin the crooks on the street put on it. Growth in subscribers should mean nothing without accompanying increase in profits and revenues, but the crooks say different. they control the game, so the stock goes up and stays up all morning. Imagine what would have happen to AAPL on a slight EPS miss or if they just met estimates. The analyst would be saying the end is near for AAPL even though AAPL is the most profitable company on the planet.. REAL profits not 2020 forecasted revenue growth potential...

"Plenty of room to grow subs especially overseas" That's what all the US company's usually say, but the reality is not so in most cases. TSLA trying to use it to say EV sales growth will continue because of "overseas", but it's usually harder for US companies to continue growing. Cultures are not the same and the business operating environment also changes. "Lots of houses behind it"... from a contrarian point of view, if they are all in...who's left to jump in and continue pushing this scam higher. we are definitely closer to a peak than we were yesterday.. LOL but I agree the crooks and their bots can keep this going as long as market conditions allow them ! I'm just playing the odds...nothing but a gamble here.

Definitely wouldn't short this manipulated stock, but I will buy puts a few months out waiting for the inevitable fall ! Short covering is what fuels all of these pops and the manipulating crooks are controlling the float. Fundamentally, there is a maximum number of subscribers possible, so growth will definitely slow down. They are near that level and are still not cash flow positive and earnings is nonexistent. They only have so much flexibility to raise prices and content costs will be due. Secondary coming for sure ! NFLX stock has so many negatives that are being ignored by wall street because it is profitable for them to continue pushing this stock higher on nothing, but eventually this house of cards will fall !

  • Huge EPS miss, in line revenues and forecast well below estimates for next quarter.... but the wall street crooks lock in on possible split and subscriber "growth" . What a rigged trading system we have here .. LOL

See what I mean... miss on EPS and in line revenues, but stock pops 12% on the possible split news I guess. Totally irrational stock price movements.

AAPL deserves to be higher based on actual earnings and revenue. Its been struggling in the in a range 110- high 120's for 3 months even though they had the most profitable quarter in history. The analyst are falling over themselves downgrading AAPL. Meanwhile NFLX has gone from $410 to $480 in 2 weeks for no apparent fundamental reason. PE is 100+ and analyst have nothing negative to say. CMG..pops $30 on no news... TSLA pops $20 on tweet and AMZN just doesn't go down. They all benefit from the wall street "favor" and spin because none of the stocks mentioned deserve to trade anywhere near the valuation they are trading based on any reasonable fundamentals.

Not saying it won't get there, but what will the crooks use to justify the price going to that level? This stock can go up or down tremendously. Depends on what the street crooks trading positions are and how the "analysts" and talking heads on CNBC spin the report...It doesn't even matter what the company actually reports. No matter how high the MoMo stocks go the crooks create and trumpet more reasons for NFLX, AMZN, TSLA, CMG , LNKD etc to continue higher !! Meanwhile AAPL's stock struggles to maintain gains even though its the most profitable company in the world. Go figure. The market is nothing but a Casino now. Just place your bets !

Cramer is usually the kiss of death for a stock when we makes statements like this. NFLX worth 50B, really? Just a statement with no fundamental investment reason behind it. How many customers will it need and at what monthly price to justify that valuation? What about competition? Off balance sheet content costs coming due, which means a secondary is coming !! Wall street crooks have no shame and the SEC has lost all control (not sure if they ever had it)

Yes, but I'm thinking that may be a "real" seller vice the bots. Usually the price pops on real low volume and remains low throughout the day with bot trading. We are already passed the daily avg volume which means someone may be actually dumping shares into the short covering pop. We shall see....

Today would be a good day to buy puts expiring next week or in a couple weeks. Chances of actually profiting on the options increases greatly if you buy puts on crazy up days like today on really no news. I have learned to sell the puts when I have a profit, but definitely sell them by Thursday, because the crooks seem to always find a way to pop the price on Fridays.

Total weekly options expiration manipulation ! Just look at all the MoMo names NFLX, AMZN, LNKD, etc. Even Stevie Wonder can see the bogus Friday option expiration manipulation "upgrades", but somehow the SEC can't see what's going on. LOL. Or maybe they just refuse to do anything about it because they are party to the crime. They have allowed the crooks with the auto bots and HFT to basically ruin actual investing. The market is nothing but a CASINO now, rigged in favor of those with the power, means and computers able to manipulate the share prices to game the weekly options market.

So what you are saying is you would rather the stock moves be based on nothing but what those with power, means and privilege decide to do based on their current trading position? That's not investing ! That's nothing but gambling, where the "house" controls who wins/loses. Investments should be made based on company fundamentals and future prospects not "power" player positions. Long term investments is always preached for individuals, but its difficult to do that when the crooks controlling the market are so concerned with weekly/monthly/quarterly profits! All the computer trading schemes and other shady practices going on is creating another stock market "bubble" that will end badly ! Just look at the market leaders like AMZN, NFLX, TSLA, LNKD and ask yourself are the businesses doing so good that the stocks deserve to be near 52 week highs and trade positive on most days? The answer is NO !

This is one of the problems with this market. Too much manipulation going on to game the weekly options market. Worst decision ever to give these crooks a reason to churn stocks weekly !! Stocks like AMZN and the other MoMo's move quickly upward to the next strike price on very little volume and then miracoulously maintains that level or slightly above all day. MoMo stocks routinely swing $5 to $10 daily, but there is supposedly no price control (aka manipulation) going on. According to the definition of manipulation on the SEC website, the crooks behind this should be charged.
SEC Definition - Manipulation is intentional conduct designed to deceive investors by controlling or artificially affecting the market for a security. Manipulation can involve a number of techniques to affect the supply of, or demand for, a stock. They include: spreading false or misleading information about a company; improperly limiting the number of publicly-available shares; or rigging quotes, prices or trades to create a false or deceptive picture of the demand for a security. Those who engage in manipulation are subject to various civil and criminal sanctions.

Wise Choice ! This market and especially trading in the MoMo's like AMZN, TSLA, GOOG, LNKD, NFLX is totally erratic. Low volume rise is never good. Market seems to be setting up for a major fall, but somehow the stock price controllers (manipulators) continue to churn the stocks up/down while gaming the options market.
