So the Co. 'posts' a profit but insiders sell their shares? Makes alot of sense...too you?!

That is just it S-C...I am resisting the urge to put the resident pumper on ignore...believing(wrongly I am learning) that he/she is just a one off pumper...but as you noted...day in and day out...boasting of gains from last Fall...I like to read as many different opinions as possible....long/short...but I think you are correct that it is time to put the resident pumper on ignore...posting seconds apart...hr after hr....life must be sad. Thanks. GLTA

atrs.....Maybe,just maybe they had positive talks w/partner...aside from the pending FDA tract....David has been working his whole research life on this...gone back this past wnkd and looked at this history(all VDA's). I believe he is going forward as much as he can and maybe this little 'gift' or financing is too show how serious he believes in his research as a very useful product...short term drop but if a partner shows up by ASCO or the wk after.. we(OXGN) should recover very, very quickly and move hopefully over that $2.00 mark once and for all.

David really believes the science works...and those in England seem to think so as well...Wall Street seems in no man's land...but we do have MLV & Co. and H.C.Wainwright on our 'side'....a bit more patience and if the partner signs then everybody will win...no partner by June...might mean alot more in-house dilution(I probably would exist). Just my opinion but usually it is the science that will move the shares...it has to be...GLTA

Thanks Mano....The Q seem to have caught him off-guard(most times these conf. have polite applause at the end and then off the stage they go)... as he was going off the stage the microphone had limited range which made the Q very hard to understand. Do you know(or have a ideal) who in the audience would have thrown that Q out? Curious. Thanks.

Flooding the market with shares again

The 'joys' of investing with a low float handle...no surprise that they had the 'ATM' machine all gassed up and ready to roll but why now at $1.60/$1.71....I was thinking something a day or two ago regarding the science here...If the science is of such greatness or so valuable to Roche/Avastin...they would be all over us before somebody elss....but this does not seem to be happening for some reason....designing a trial that had only 27 patients might be one problem for Roche and maybe there really is not enough 'benefits' for the cost involved..."K" might not be such a blockbuster drug/treatment that OXGN believes after all these yrs.....3 CEO's in 5 yr should be noted.

Going for the $10M now before the next conf....nothing to say at the next meeting?....or Roche is just not interested right now and would rather OXGN shareholders pay more of the costs before taking over the drug for themselves...makes sense for Roche to wait OXGN out...as for OXGN shareholders...like myself...means waiting a bit longer for a nice pay-off....something better than the 15% to 25% jumps here....as long as the "science" is truly 'real' OXGN will be alright in the end...but presenting data on 27 patients really is a bit of a head scratcher unless the data really blew the doors off the barn...and as far as I read the data/science it did not do this....it worked...but maybe that is the bottom line...tweak it a bit more to make it a blockbuster treatment....now with $40M and the high Exec. pay going here..they should be able to do something for the shareholders who have not participated in this latest 'ATM' offering.....anyways just had to 'sound off' after waking up this morning and reading the headline....sometimes a story needs time to play out....but the first CC I listened to with David...Roth CC....I should have really thought long and hard on why the CEO was thrown off guard by a simple question since our 'float' is so very, very low..hopefully soon to $1.71 and beyond.

  • SMSI has 'outsourced' their IR to whom?...kinda of quiet with all this carnage going on around them...interesting to see the insiders selling their shares....usually insiders buy for a reason....they believe the share price will rise....when it comes to selling...it might mean(this is where smsicrime has more insight it seems)....the Co. outlook is not good....makes sense and seems logical?....Why after 'posting' a 'profit' in their last nr the insiders would want to sell their shares now???? What about the Feb.25/15 'upgrade' to 'buy' by Needham and their $2.25 tgt...Makes a shareholder want to question what is mgmt thinking to themselves and what they are "actually" doing?!

Waiting them out a bit longer....I have a bit of patience.

S-J...What is up or down with this stock....around for ~30 yrs....and trading for $1.38? Is this a case of the 'founder' not wanting to give up the ship to be run/managed by some new blood? Seems a 'blood transfusion' is needed.....anything in Smith's past comments that would make anybody believe he would gladly sell...?

I wonder which 'broker/dealer' has opened the share spigot...for those wanting to go short here? Anyways...ATM are an easy way for Co's to raise cash...whether or not they will be using the new found cash any time soon.....Still believe/think any partner talk would want OXGN shareholders to carry more of the financial cost of the next trial....makes sense.

Well said. Hopefully they take it as a positive(flubbed up response or not)...someone in the audience was very interested to have sat through a ~25 min presentation of sometimes 'eye' glazing scientific notes and words...and was most interested in who/whom was acquiring their shares...the science was a given?!

Biotech with a little intrigue thrown in for good measure.....thanks. GLTA

Very hard to keep track of those multiple aliases smsiC(every once in awhile you will need to bump that post up the line here)...believed the Co. had something for shareholders and maybe just tried to ignored the insider selling(even though it is usually a bad sign, not always but still something to be wary of...and I noted it in my own decision to come on board)....but at this point even with a $2.00 tgt I will not avg down until another positive nr comes out to confirm mgmt is not selling me a bill of goods.

Never my intention to marry SMSI...and might take a loss and move on...a few more wks to go...I might have taken SMSI(mgmt) a bit too lightly at first...my bad. GLTA

Root....I had not realized you had posted this...I had a link in my post(today) and 'forgot' Yahoo and their 'rules' on links and posted it anyways...Yahoo,as far as I can tell deleted it before it made it here...at least I think so...if not..sorry to have re-posted your info. on the ASCO(May 29 -June 02).....I had a few lines on the 'ATM' MLV and Co. LLC but nothing really important.....if the O/S count changes they will show up on the next Qtrly's...~$30M+ in the bank and a burn of ~$1M/month....should allow them to hold off on the 'ATM'....unless an opportunity presents itself and they take the cash...never know these things until the filings. Either he has options to cash in or just somebody who is trying to 'pollute' the board for all....nothing useful seems to be coming out of his posts to back up why after 30yrs!!!! 30 yrs SMSI is at $1.38!

I have taken some to see whether the last qtr was a one off or something else....mad money only!

Your constant dribble and babble adds nothing to why after 30 yrs...SMSI is at $1.365 this morning...so they did a financing at 0.80cts big deal...Investors would think that after 30 yrs in the biz...they would have out-grown the penny status and matured into a very profitable and growing business in their field.....but since all you want to do is gloat over your alleged profit from 0.85cts to $1.365.....you prove the point that SMSI has not shown the street it has matured...much like you b_a......but if you need to spend your day constantly posting on a stock that has not gone anywhere in 30 yrs....I will take up the conversation with others.
