    Any thoughts on MU today?

    daejna;

    I agree with you. I do not believe this is the time to sell. Russ has been writing articles about INTC and I believe has shifted money from MU to INTC. If you click on his name you will be able to see all the articles he has written. Even smart people are wrong sometimes.

    I will be holding my position even though MU has had a drop. My tax implications would be tremendous and I would end up buying fewer shares as a result. The chart links I posted clearly showed that a drop was coming. It was in the cards even before Goldman released it statement. MU recovered from it's low of the day; which leads me to believe this was a shakedown of the margin players. JMHO

    daejna;

    Samsung uses most of its own production. Apple had been a major user of Samsung products. That I
    believe has changed, because of the bad blood lawsuits between the two companies. MU, by virtue of the
    Elipida purchase has become a supplier for APPL and I believe that will continue to grow. If Samsung sees that more chips are needed, then I believe that MU will also see a demand increase for chips. I believe that
    Goldmans remarks is their way of dropping the price of MU so clients can move into the stock at lower prices. Goldmans analyst has no way of knowing what the MU order book looks like; except by having insider information. The action today also looked like a equity trap for margin players. The market forced many weak players out of positions, creating losses that had to be covered by equity sales.

    Tablet sales are down. I believe the reason is that people are waiting for the next generation of tablets; called phablets to come to market. It is like the cell phone revolution. New features and more memory. Products that can also act as communication devices, computers and social networking devices. Devices that are larger the a phone; but smaller then a tablet. JMHO

  • MU recommended as a BUY on CNBS.
    CCI at multi-year low.

    cautious;

    Nice to see you back.
    I tend to stay away from new issues. Most of the time they will take a dump when insiders start selling restricted stock. If the company is at a reasonable PE and has earnings, then I might consider doing a buy.
    There are too many good companies to chose from and the risk is much less with established companies.
    My put option trades work very well with older stocks that pay dividends.

    I am glad that you got out with your seed money and some profit. I would take the rest and sell at this point while you can.

    Yahoo has really messed up the message boards. I signed up for free over at Investors Village with my same ID. I noticed that Yahoo deleted a prior post labelled MU. Good Luck.

    WMT put options

    buylow;

    WMT is selling off today; but I think that it will recover very quickly. WFM and SFM are losing market share as people try to make their dollars go farther. A lot of that business will go to WMT. Yesterday, WMT closed at a previous bottom. I could have waited; but felt that any further drop would be
    minimal.

    Patience is learned. Your trade could have gone the other way. I have seen stocks sell off on good earnings reports. I am glad that yours worked out.

    WYNN is on an upswing.

    Well I have to stick with my prior assessment. Now if WYNN can break above and close above $222.33 then I would concede that WYNN could retest $250. But; then where?

    WYNN has a shitload of debt and has negative Net Tangible Assets. The gaming model is very
    unpredictable and can change at the drop of a hat. There are also 8 new casinos under construction in
    Macau and that is where Wynn makes most of there income from. JMHO

    What a win. That earnings report after hours sealed the gain with shorts covering. Glad to see you made such a nice gain. I have to admit that I would not have done that trade. I would have waited for that proverbial double bottom confirmation and sold the Jan 2016 $25 puts. Lets see how this plays out.

    OT Investor Village has a free sign up for an account and a MU board. I signed up the other day. Seems to be a virgin board.

    MOP for Friday is 32. I wonder if we are back to the MM's playing the stock. MU also closed right at the lower BB. The JAN 2016 $25 put options look tempting to sell.

    There is no reason why MU should be off today except that the MOP is at 32 for Friday. Looks to me like the MM's are up to their old games again.

    Really great information. I held AMAT at one time and caught a nice run up. I sold it after it flattened out. With all these inversions There will be no qtr filings; only yearly. This may be a big problem for US investors as far as being able to obtain valid information. MU could easily do an inversion with on of its associate companies.

    YAHOO MESSAGE BOARD

    Actually, I have a lot of concern about Alibaba. It is a Chinese company that Jerry Yang bought into with Yahoo shareholders money. Yahoo shareholders have never received any dividends or distributions from Alibaba. Now Alibaba wants to go public and Yahoo want to sell more of the shares it owns. Marissa Meyers frittered away the last amount of money from the stock sale and shareholders got nothing in return. Jack Ma siphoned off assets for himself and Jerry Yang is now part of Alibaba. I do not trust this deal. The filings are extensive and there is no way to prove actual value of Alibaba. I am sure that a lot of people will get sucked into this PO. Yahoo has already cut back the number of shares it was throwing into the deal. I wonder why? Maybe the public is skidish. I believe that the price of Yahoo already reflects this deal. JMHO
