    DREAMER;
    90% of call and put option buyers lose money. So your above analogy would depend on a number of things such as which side of the trade is the big money on. I would suggest that the big money is the call option writers who have the ability to drive the price of the stock down so that the call option buyers take a loss. These call options have been written over the course of time when MU reached prior tops with higher premiums that have degraded over time. Whether the option writers own the underlying stock or wrote naked call options; the fact still remains that any devaluation of the premium price paid by the call option buyer is still a gain for the call option seller.

    I would suggest that you join IV as the website is so much more versatile. You can make post and edit them and also posts links to charts etc. Yahoo is like the way cavemen communicate on the walls of their caves.

    In this market MU could make a quick drop to $24 and then run back up. We have 2 days to see what will transpire. Because the options are so spread out, it would be a dis-service to make a guess. With that said; on Oct 17, 2015 MU's stock price gaped up from $28.30 and has not back filled the hole in the chart. If the price of MU is going done ; I would say that is where it will drop to before rebounding. The $27.25 area is where the prior bottom would also act as support and committed buyers would come in. Stocks always like to shake out weak hands so that they can begin a new move up.

    GOOD QUESTION!
    There are literally 700,000 call options spread out at strike prices between $12 and the $30 price.
    Max option pain is at $24 for this Friday the 17th. We could still see a violent swing down in price
    between now and Fridays close. The MM's will want to drive the price as low as they can. I hope that helps.

    When it bottoms one can sell put options at much higher premiums.or buy more stock.

  • Look at the diversity of call and put options and you will see why MU has dropped. Jan 7, 8 and 9th the MM's worked the put option premiums down. They then reversed and started the downtrend to work the call
    options premiums. MU is a good company that has been growing.
    Samsung may buy blackberry and I look for INTC or APPL to buy MU.

  • ARCP suspended the dividend due to the erroneous accounting. The dividend will be reinstated at some point. Because it is a REIT it is required to pay out 90% of its profits. So if you own ARCP you will find that ARCP will payout a larger dividend as it is require to do by law. If your not in it you lose. Besides that they just received $60 million from RCAP as a termination fee.
