Actually, I have a lot of concern about Alibaba. It is a Chinese company that Jerry Yang bought into with Yahoo shareholders money. Yahoo shareholders have never received any dividends or distributions from Alibaba. Now Alibaba wants to go public and Yahoo want to sell more of the shares it owns. Marissa Meyers frittered away the last amount of money from the stock sale and shareholders got nothing in return. Jack Ma siphoned off assets for himself and Jerry Yang is now part of Alibaba. I do not trust this deal. The filings are extensive and there is no way to prove actual value of Alibaba. I am sure that a lot of people will get sucked into this PO. Yahoo has already cut back the number of shares it was throwing into the deal. I wonder why? Maybe the public is skidish. I believe that the price of Yahoo already reflects this deal. JMHO

The two previous lows were $ 7.42 and $7.38. This last low was $7.60. Earnings will be July 30th and should give up some better directional trend. A breakdown below $ 7.38 would send the stock pric back to the $6 range. I am just watching and waiting for that confirmed bottom.

Sprint is getting interesting. I do own the stock and have played and made money on their options. Earnings will be out on the 30th of July. A triple bottom formation is in place and 78% of the stock is owned by SON.
The Jan 16 $5 options are at about $ 50 per contract. The stock appears to be oversold. I am of the opinion that the options would be a safer bet.

    Any comments?

Only problem with overseas companies is that qtr reports are non existent. It makes it so easy for companies to screw shareholders.

I will continue to hold and may add some more. The sell off was far to great for the actual loss reported. More manipulation then rational movement.

MOP for 7/19 is $4.50 and 7/25 is $4.50. I am thinking that the sell off has been overdone.

Analyst seem to have higher expectations the what companies were reporting. I guess this was a case of buy the rumor and sell the news. Pullbacks can make a stock stronger as new investors start to buy in at perceived values.

I am thinking that analyst have been somewhat aggressive in their forward earnings for SNDK and the company came out with something less then what analyst had expected. That along with todays news, I believe has pulled down the market.

buylow; Global X Funds, AND yields 1.47%

    The Global X FTSE Andean 40 ETF ( AND | F-21 ) is down 10.03 percent year-to-date.

AND tracks a market-cap-weighted index of firms in Colombia, Peru and Chile, focusing in a region that’s known for being a major exporter of industrial metals.

That regional focus is the reason why AND allocates heavily to basic materials, which represent 17 percent of the portfolio. Still, the fund’s largest sector exposure is financials, at roughly 27 percent.

The fund is relatively expensive to trade—its 60-day average trading spread is clocking in at 132 basis points. Added to an expense ratio of 0.72 percent, it costs investors more than 2 percent a year to own it. But investors have embraced the strategy, pushing AND above the $100 million mark in assets.

    Fund Summary
The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the FTSE Andean 40 Index ("underlying index"). The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the securities of the underlying index and in American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") and Global Depositary Receipts ("GDRs") based on the securities in the underlying index. The underlying index is a free-float adjusted, modified capitalization-weighted index designed to measure performance of the 40 largest and most liquid companies in the Chile, Colombia, and Peru markets. The fund is non-diversified.

You might want to research what stocks are in the ETF.
Looks cheap, but I need to do more research.

The dollar stores are better positioned to weather downturns in spending by consumers; because of the product mix that they carry versus WMT. WMT has many products, like fresh fruits and meats that people pass on because of increased prices. Food stamp entitlements to recipients have been cut by 10% and more companies have cut back their workers to 30 hours. Dollar stores have the neighborhood advantage. JMHO

Well, we are back above the key $4.65 level which on the charts was a triple top breakout. I am of the opinion that AMD earnings will have a 33% upside. That should push AMD to $5.45, which is still undervalued. JMHO
