Harmonix has revealed the first six Rock Band 4 songs to IGN.

    They are:

◆ Avenged Sevenfold – "Hail to the King"
◆ Fleetwood Mac – "You Make Loving Fun"
    ◆ Jack White – "Lazaretto"
◆ The Killers – "Somebody Told Me"
◆ Spin Doctors – "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong"
◆ The Who – "The Seeker"

Mad Catz Interactive and Harmonix are partnering up to launch the title, which will release later this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mad Catz will develop and manufacture a new generation of wireless music game controllers for the game, although old peripherals will work as well.

According to Harmonix, Rock Band 4 will focus on the features and gameplay that people love, and expand the franchise in innovative ways informed by how fans play and what they want.

Hey bonhead / bonesid whatever your name is.....let me address your comments:
This basically calls all of your previous posts into question:
like what?.......its my opinion ...what about your previous post?....you enjoy insulting others?
You always have claimed you are a big shareholder in MCZ claiming 1.5M shares,
No. I am not claiming....I Am......and I dont give a rats behind whether you believe it or not...
but now you have no knowledge of the gaming industry?
I said I have limited knowledge......not even experts know 100% of everything.....When I invest I try to know at least 75% of what I am getting into.....what is it that I don't know?.....how the deals are structured between a publisher and a developer when they are not the same party.....In other words how does the revenue stream get divided up!! Harmonix used the word "partner" what does that mean in percentage terms?...I wanted to find out if anyone knows how these deals are structured.....Do you wiseguy?.....
I did not need to know everything about electronic arts, activision or Gluu mobile....to get double digit returns......I dont have the time to invest like peter lynch and get to know the full 411 on a company....
I pay for research and use certain basic metrics and make an educated guess.....and hope I am right 2/3 of the time
You don't know the difference between publisher and developer and yet you have 700K to throw into this stock?
Of course I know the BASIC definition......I meant how do their responsibilties translate in terms of the fine print on agreeemnts....Who gets what and how much ....
I dont THROW ANY MONEY AROUND ......BUT I AM A BIG RISK TAKER EVEN AT 62.....otherwise I would not be where I am today
Either you are lying or I am a dumb #$%$ for taking you seriously.
I dont need to prove anything to you.....and you know "jack###" about me.....so its very easy to conclude YES you are a dumb##
So put me on ignore and go have a #$%$ match with someone else of your own intellect

Am I correct that mcz was involved in other "publishing ventures" but was not that successful?
What was the price of RB 3 the game itself? and the add ons?
All helpful info to further my vision? thanks

  • I must admit when the news came out......I was excited but only because of the feedback on the message boards...I never heard of the game.....but yesterday given I had the day off to do some research ...I looked into the history of this game.....My knowledge of the video game industry is limited....I need to know a few basics before I go any further..Can any of you tell me what is the role of a PUBLISHER vs. a DEVELOPER.....I think I know....and if I am right....I see an BIG opportunity for MCZ.......DR may be on to something!!!!!!!
PS......Who is the publisher and developer of Madden football?

I think it is a good guess who has been the flipper since the s3 was announced........who has the ability to constantly throw out big size bids and asks.......it makes alot of sense now......think about if you look at the insitutional holdings...there aren't any ....only a market maker with liquidity was able to do this......the mystery is over!!!
So what now......this market maker has a duty to get this back to 41c and above....because i believe he is feeling the heat from those who got in this deal

Raising money for expansion is always a good thing.......The main thing i want to emphasize is the current price of 37c now officially has baked in the s3 and the weak 4th quarter!!!!!!
I expect to see 50c + after the next earnings release.....

Today there was alot of pain.....
I waited until now to make my comments until I read all of yours.....I cant argue with any of you....because I feel the same way...So no dumping or pumping by me.... I do want to offer some perspective....
My outlook on the company has not changed....as a matter of fact my price targets have not changed either...
PRICE TARGET $1 BY END OF YEAR........$1-2 BY END OF 2016....MINIMUM
My opinion of CEO and CFO......
I believed that regardless what both said .....the cash situation was very troubling and they had no choice to do this......this is an opprtunity for the company to make great strides....and they felt it necessary to do it......because they have their backs to the wall...they had very little bargaining power......and the road to 60c 70c 80c was not going to happen fast ...so to wait for the S3 until the stock was going to go higher was not an option.....
A few weeks ago some of you were prasing them and now their idiots.....I dont think so.......they are very tight lipped which was evidenced by the press releases right after the conference call. They have
a plan and they cant disclose it right now.....
So a few months ago the stock was in the 50c area then the s3 was announced and went to 35-37c on the earnings release....same routine different day....the stock was 50c today and the s3 was implemented and back to37c..
Yes I was feeling good during this move....BUT I just felt my CFO instincts about the cash!!!!!...I said these great new projects are going to be funded with what???????
Im sure Karen tried many differnt avenues to find 3 million and had to resort to this......
    Dilution vs Growth....
I have been down this road more than once this year
GLUU was trading in the $4-7 range then did an offering for 3.60 it went to $7.50 .....money was used for expansion and dilution 15-20%
MATR was trading around $5-5.50 and did an offering for about 4.5.....money was used for expansion and dilution 15-20%....it went to $7.25

A Good analyst visits the company ......speaks to management.....does channel checking......
Do you think these shlock houses did any of that......you think they even invested in a plane ticke to taiwan?
Both analysts said why they were downgrading....but did not give any concrete evidence.....
And of course used the safe language "may" might"
But like I said you can't reason with any of this....thats why day traders do have a purpose.....the create liquidilty and opportunities!!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Himx is one othe few companies that I know of that keeps a lid on as much information as possible....mainly because of the NDA's......So why then would any information coming from an analyst be of any use....its their opinion !!!!!!.......and of course they are going to use their opinion to the best of their advantage...
I would have figured after learning this lesson a few times this year many would have gotten it.....but day traders are loving it
All this info being traded on has already been baked in...
It's going to take one of two things to break this cycle....
    A major product announcement or
    an upward guidance revision

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I am still positive about last weeks action.....but I am puzzeled why insiders should not but here instead of at 56c .....35-45c alot cheaper than 56c?

Volume never lies especially when the stock is in a trend....The week before this RockBand announcement the stock was very active.....I knew something was up and I guessed it was going to be positive.....so I decided to make my final purchase at 38c....
    So now what?......
It was very important that the stock followed through..and did so on a bad day in the market......but here is the important point i want to emphazise......It is already well known theat the 4th quarter is going to be weak....so that is baked into the price already.....which means the stock is going to trade 6-9 months ahead going into the xmas season.....
A lesson needs to be remembered here......During the conference call DR made no mention about the last few press releases...MANY CEOs DO THIS!!!!!....its called NDA agreements.....
He felt the hot seat and he feels the pressure.......for the the first time in 3 years I see visibilty with mcz....
Just as a side note......the wait time for most of my stocks is 3-4 years.....(now my 3rd yr) and then boom!!!!!!
Going to be conservative here $1.50 by xmas......next year $2-3....
Our time has come .....MCZ is now on Wall ST's radar..

  • BEIJING—Global drug companies face tough going in China despite Beijing’s promise to lift pharmaceutical price controls, as stiff competition and a fierce bidding process will continue to pressure prices.

China’s leaders on Thursday said Beijing would lift price controls on pharmaceuticals, a move long called for by drug companies and health experts to encourage both foreign and domestic firms to offer better drugs. For the pharmaceutical industry, the move could further open up a market that last year totaled 655 billion yuan, or about $105 billion, in drug sales, up 13.7% from 2013, according to consulting firm McKinsey & Co.

The move “creates more incentives for foreign and local firms to develop more innovative drugs,” said George Baeder, director of research firm China Global Insight. Previously, he said, drug company executives would “wake up one morning and realize that the product that accounted for 20% of sales had faced a price reduction.”

Still, uncertainties remain. Chinese leaders didn’t set a timetable or offer specifics, though it follows proposals offered in recent months to relax drug-price caps in some areas.

The move would also essentially shift ultimate pricing power from China’s central government to its many local governments. Drug makers will still have to go through provincial bidding systems in which drug companies win hospital and pharmaceutical contracts by promising quality drugs at the lowest prices, said Helen Chen, a director and partner at consultancy L.E.K. There they face intensifying competition with rising Chinese drug companies.

Then drug companies may face another round of negotiations, this time with hospitals and local social-security authorities to discuss insurance reimbursement. “Pricing pressure will remain high,” said Ms. Chen.

Drug makers, including GlaxoSmithKline PLC, Pfizer Inc. and Bayer AG, didn’t respond to requests for comment on how the move will affect their business. French drug giant Sanofi SA declined to comment.

The move is part of a broader government effort to create lower drug prices through free-market competition. “At the end of the day, prices of drugs will likely go down,” said Franck Le Deu, a partner at consultancy McKinsey & Co. Many drug companies might look to raise profits by raising prices, but they ultimately still compete on price and will be forced now to more greatly differentiate themselves through branding, he said.

China has long kept a tight rein on drug prices as part of its efforts to keep medical care affordable for its vast and aging population. But the industry and experts have blamed price pressures for spurring some domestic manufacturers to cut corners to maintain profits. The Chinese public was shocked three years ago by state media reports that said downward pressure on cost pushed drug capsule makers to cut overheads by using leather scraps to make gelatin capsules, leading to high levels of carcinogenic substances in their pills.

Authorities have been slowly stepping away from price restrictions, ending retail-price caps on low-cost medicine last year. But they have struggled to provide innovative drugs, ensure stable supplies and maintain low prices. Chinese officials are ramping up spending as the country’s population ages and demands better care. McKinsey estimates the overall health-care market will triple to $1 trillion by 2020.

The announcement from China’s top leaders serves as a clear green light to make changes in a market that has been paralyzed due to government efforts to halt corruption in the health-care sector. The government scrutinized the drug industry in the last two years in an effort to clean up widespread bribery in the medical industry, but that caused local leaders and drug companies to freeze up, fearful of taking any new action, said Mr. Baeder. “It’s the downside of radical change,” he said.

Some analysts say the move also figures in a plan to sell drugs online, making the procurement system more transparent. The planned changes could also be meant in part to redress a culture of bribery among hospitals, doctors and manufacturers, experts say. Drug sales make up more than 80% of hospital revenue, according to consulting firm Bain & Co.
