I guess the regulators were fooled long enough...The 10k was due in October......6 months later still nothing....they could have given estimates.....or just something......the files that they claimed they needed were not crucial to giving at least a projection ..
I hope I am wrong on all of this....but I doubt it

Most will trade off the bottom line eps ... if that's the case we could retest 17c or go lower.....but if you look at eps before extraordinary items that will be something else......The key number for me we be their cash position at the quarter end.
The current situation is all ready reflected in the price......It's the next 9 months that have me more excited

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • From seeking Alpha
    Sirius XM's Lucrative E-Sports Opportunity
•With hundreds of millions of gamers in North America, this could be a great boost to subscriber numbers.
•Some e-Sports tournaments have more viewers than the NBA finals.
•Sirius XM's plans to start a video streaming platform could tie in well with this.
We have felt that Sirius XM (NASDAQ:SIRI) was good value for some time, and following an announcement that it is launching e-Sports coverage we find it to be a compelling buy. Part of our concern with Sirius XM was how it will attract enough new subscribers in the future to grow at a reasonable rate. With this launch, it could be a step in the right direction and drive the share price higher.
The rise of e-Sports has taken many by surprise, not least ourselves. Which is why we are delighted to see Sirius XM move into covering the growing competitive gaming industry. Last week the company announced a partnership with leading internet media company IGN to produce a new daily e-Sports satellite radio show. Dedicated to the growing world of competitive gaming, it will be hopeful to capture some of the hundreds of millions of gamers in North America as subscribers.

I will say it again....CEO needs to focus on VR.......MCZ is in a hot sector.....drop the garbage ( RB4)....and go for HIGH MARGINS !!!!
    Still accumulating.. 19-22c

  • I am feeling a lot better both physically and mentally.....thanks to many of you for your best wishes...

Nothing has changed in my outlook for MCZ....My number one pick HIMX had a big day.....4 or 5 years ago I bought all of my shares between $2-2.50 (250,000 shares)....The talk is now $17-18 price target, all because of VIRTUAL REALITY.....
The key takeaway as it pertains to that this will trickle down to this company as well.
The initial reviews to the launch of occulus rift and the other competitors is the lack the of content in the early stages of this new industry.....Games applications are currently limited and are WAITING ON SPECIALIZED CONTROLLERS...
The new CEO is doing a good job....but she needs to do better.....
Getting rid of Rockband was a good idea....concentrate on STAR CITIZEN....keep an eye on the CUTTING OF EXPENSES..
She is laying the ground work for a good up coming year

The stock is forming a double it has successfully tested 17c twice.....if 17c CAN HOLD...the next 1-2 weeks ...I think we can see a move to the 25-30c range before earnings.....The pivot point is 29c

A valuable lesson here is patience....I had a lot of frustration with skyrocketed to $15....then collapsed to under $6 ....for 3 went nowhere....and look now.....
In my opinion the same will happen for MCZ.....they have their 2nd chance to capitalize on a new trend....keep your eye on the prize....focus!!!!!
The conservative estimate for virtual reality is $20 billion by 2020.....some are saying it will be $50 BILLION..

My position remains the same 1,500,000shares....however friends, family, and associates have added about 500,000shares in the 17c-25c range

    KAREN !!!!

if mcz quickly restructures .....and the books clean......a buyout has a better chance of happening....first the stock would have to rebound back to50-75c...then buyout can take place $1-3....
I believe once the dust settles the stock will slowly rebound back into the 30-40c range
When creditors and vendors see the discipline of Karen....things will change

The surge is due to Tencent buying more.. they now have 18%....that number is going to 100%....This stock going back to recent highs of $7
still early...but maybe wait for a bout of profit taking

I would have loved to buy more of mcz when it went into the teens .....but had to say no....I have way to much already....
I started buying aggressively this week....and expect this small cap bloodbath to end very soon.
I cant and will never allow market corrections or crashes to paralyze me....
So while I wait FOR MCZ to rebuild I have made the following long term trades
If the market corrects further so be it......I am dividing my dry powder into three installments

I can attest to the following:

The CFO is usually the most hated individual in the boardroom.....My MAIN responsibility was Watching the money
Keeping in line with the budget.....and of course always looking for deals either being a buyer or seller
I always had fights sometimes ugly with a few directors and insiders.....but the chairman and sometimes the ceo always backed me up.
I just have a gut feeling that Karen is professional who gets the job done.....I also believe that she has to watch what she says about the old management

I will give you one short story
A key executive died in my firm who was well liked.....upper management in respect for him and his family gave a small reception ....that cost the firm $50,0000 ....I was livid and made it a point of it....It was more about having a good time .....drinking.......great surf and turf......
A top executive quoted " What the hell we made $3 million today"
    Get the point .....
Now for the no spin zone
my targets I have none for this year I HOPE to see 50-75c
long term more conservative 1-2 years $1-3 but only if Karen executes on Virtual reality
$5 million in annual savings equates to 7c per share
Karen MUST not use atm at these prices.....she should use her experience and find cheaper credit
Start being shareholder friendly to guys like "EDDY"
Hey if Eddie can ask a question could I...but my questions will be a bit more serious....

    one last point
The competition ate into the margins.....but if cost cutting were spot on eps could have been at least 3-5c..
I think Karen will address that and make the bottom line a priority...the top line will take care of itself

Good luck to all of us

Before this news the talk was at least 8c

are we even still talking about a profit of at least 3c-7c or less ?
    A loss?
the loss of the RB 4 franchise?
    loss of the credit line?

    How bad is this?

  • I have been asking myself .....where did the pressure come from?

The Board of Directors was to small and cozy to have done this......The stockholders don't have a popular activist
What about Harmonix? found this article

Anyway, back to Mad Catz bad Monday. With fiscal 2016 third quarter reports coming tomorrow, the company confirmed that a trio of executives resigned on Friday, including the Chairman of the Board, Thomas Brown, CEO Darren Richardson, and Senior VP of Business Affairs Whitney Peterson.

The ensuing day of trading left the stock down some 25% plus on the day. (See the quote here.) The stock price is not high to begin with, and Monday's action left it perilously close to the 2009 low. It's possible that if the earnings report isn't as bad as feared, it could bounce back tomorrow.

Indeed, with the 'Street Fighter V' line flying off the shelf, a big investment and area of success, aka fightsticks and 'Street Fighter,' should be paying off now and in the very near future.

Unfortunately, I'm left to wonder if it isn't the Mad Catz relationship with 'Rock Band 4' that is causing the shake-up. To be clear, I was there in the front row the better part of a decade ago when Electronic Arts, Harmonix, and MTV got into a money fight, post 'Rock Band 2,' during which it was revealed that publishing the game and dealing with the hardware was the mean part of the 'Rock Band' business.

When 'Rock Band 4' was first announced, the idea being pushed was that stock levels would be carefully managed. That may have happened, but the scale of 'Rock Band 4' along with all the different sub-product SKUs, have likely kept Mad Catz resources well-diverted, leaving other product areas slowed or in a holding pattern. The game being geared towards those that already own the hardware and like being DLC can't have been ideal of the publisher and peripheral-maker.
What does any of this mean to consumers today? Well probably nothing in the short time. Mad Catz can likely weather this while fulfilling all obligations, and that means the community will have new fightsticks among other Mad Catz products. In the long term, however, the company might have to retreat to the most solvent areas and wait out certain contracts. It's ironic then, that right when arguably the highest quality Mad Catz products now or to date, the Tournament Edition line of sticks, is about see the most significant software support of the new console generation, the company may be left figuring out how to get by with less.
