They plan increase to 4GW capacity. Getting good income from holding downstream projects. We could be looking at 4th place in terms of capacity end of 2015.

It's all a big joke anyways. Out of all the stocks he talked about, the only one that people can not short is Yingli. This #$%$ message only shows up in Yingli's headlines, not the other Chinese solar headlines. Go figure. Thanks yahoo. again.

The reason why they are analysts and not hedge fund managers is that they are suck at stock picking. I love Cramer's buy buy buy on GTAT at $18 and now it's bankrupt. I was a fool buying a stock pick from Cramer, bought at $20 and it went down to $2. If analysts are awesome, they will not be analysts. That's a fact.

Axiom is on crack. He doesn't even know we can't short a stock under $5. He didn't get the memo chinese solar been selling out. He also confused that the new tariffs has no effect on most Chinese solar because they stop using Taiwan cells. We revert back to 2012 tariffs which was lowered. Taking a short position as we at all time lows. We will go up. He will lose his job at Axiom.

Yingli released its Kiwami smarthome solution

Debt is not the problem. The problem is how the debt is handled. As Yingli decrease debt from 4 billion to 2 billion, SunEdison increase their debt from 2 billion to 6 billion and growing by the day. High debt doesn't equal bankruptcy. Suntech's demise was not a simple high debt, but their CEO Shi Zhengrong double dipping the finances and not disclosing his ownership of the Global Solar Fund, mainly his Italian plants. GSF was one of the main reason Suntech went bankrupt.

Future stock's performance doesn't correlate to what CFO said 1 year ago. What he said boosted the stock last year. Moving forward, I like all the negative analysts' estimates. This gives them better chance to beat estimates and boosting stock price. This management never hides any bad news, I doubt they would "manipulate" numbers. With the new downstream business, it can greatly boost or damper a quarter due to timing of selling downstream projects. They mentioned many projects are completing early 2015. If we are lucky maybe they finished couple projects in Q4. Downstream projects are high margin business, no doubt they can push us back to profitability.

Usually on a Wednesday. March 18th is a good guess. The announcement should be March 4th. If Yingli is sold out for Q4, Q1 and Q2. They should be releasing awesome numbers.

  • Yingli released its Kiwami smarthome solution to the Japanese market. A bidirectional inverter is integrated with a Yingli rooftop array, smart fuse box and battery system is a solution for Japan's rolling blackouts. Yingli targets 20MW of residential installations in 2015 with the product. This system is on display at Tokyo's World Smart Energy Week.

They are really late in releasing Q4. This stock will not move until Q4 is released. They usually announce 2 weeks before the release date, hopefully we will see it by next week.

It's going Timber because Yingli needs to fire the person in charge of press releases. They miss so many awesome news. Not many investors are as good at DD as us here. Just terrible that I have go digging everyday to find out what's going on with Yingli.

Those added or started a position below $2, good job. This dip was perfect timing for me to add to my IRA account. I guess it was meant to be. People who takes risks are the ones get rewarded the most. Buying stocks when everyone is running away, i.e. Buffet buying Bank of America during the financial crisis gets the biggest gains. We are hitting crucial technical indicators that will bring in more trend traders. Nice to see increase in buy volume day after day. Nice to see all those that contribute their research and opinions here. We have a good core group.

Apple comments on solar energy cost

For an energy provider, clearly choosing an energy with fixed cost as oppose to coal or nuclear with variable cost is a smarter choice. All coal power plants will shut down in 10 years. Coal plant owners citing the increase cost from Obama's new regulation too costly, and we will start hearing majority of the coal plants to shut down in 5 years.
Looks like this dip's bottom was $1.70's. Finally looking to bounce back up.
I'm hoping for a chain reaction from all the awesome Q4 reports from Chinese solar companies. Q4 was a record quarter. Big boost for all solar stocks coming soon.

The management is giving me a headache. They need to post this huge signing on their website press release. I dont know why they post a tiny 1mw project and not the big contract like 500mw.

  • yan3kigndoms yan3kigndoms Feb 10, 2015 1:20 PM Flag

Why news like this not posted in the Yahoo Headlines? Yahoo selectively posting seems like a conflict of interest. They only post negative news on Yingli.

  • Yingli will build 500MW solar PV project in Egypt. Wang Gang, vice president of Yingli Green, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Elmac Abbey director of Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy... They set the target to realize 500MW of added PV capactiy in... 3 years and the total PV installations will achieve 50GW by 2015.

I believe YGE has a better chance to go up 500% as oppose to CSIQ, TSL, or any other Tier 1. I believe YGE can easily go up to $10 once they fix their margins. For CSIQ to go up 500% that would be $150 a share and TSL at $50 a share. That is a tougher task because they already have their margins dialed in. To go up that much for them they need to increase capacity and find new revenue streams. Much tougher to do as oppose to Yingli tweaking their operations here and there, paying off some debt (which they have been doing the past couple years). Because they already have built in a large capacity base and multiple lines of revenues, I won't be surprised to see this go up $10 by next year or earlier.

My analysis day traders and swing traders been avoiding this stock. Yesterday with the big momentum push for all solar stocks increased their daily volume by 4x. YGE only increase by 2x. Low volume is a concern. The money exchanged hands with other solar stocks are 10 fold compared to Yingli. I agree that management needs to gives us some guidance for 2015. Everyone is expanding except for us. We might end up as #3 by end of the year, while making the least amount of money. I'm hoping 2015 will be a turn around year for the company as well as the stock price.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
