Another missed deadline by the DEA? Wile I hope you are correct in your prediction, I see nothing special that would make the DEA actually do something, instead of missing yet another deadline. I'm getting too cynical about our government - they are too big and too ineffective.

I don't agree at all. Scripture even describes the parable Jesus told in the book of Matthew, where a master gave his servants gold coins (Talents). The two that invested, he was pleased wi, but the other who buried them so he wouldn't lose his principal, he berated.

The Parable of the Bags of Gold

14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Yet we have no products on the market, and can't get past the DEA. I still smell a rat there, but nothing we can do about it. As soon as Belviq is launched, it will be an unbelievable short squeeze. If sales take off quickly, it will be a complete blood-letting for shorts.

I hope you are right. It does concern me though that so many are short. That is a LOT of money short. Hopefully will be the mother of all short squeezes. The big short position on VVUS worked for them. I don't see ARNA as pumped up & overbought the way that VVUS was though. So there isn't the same downside potential that VVUS had when it was up at $30/share.

If ARNA pops to $15-$30 range, then clearly they are fools, but until the pop, I can't knock them.

And 3.2 million shares got bought too. Funny how that works.

Actually, your statement is only true for us retail investors. Hedge funds get credit for the cash right then. Yes, they do also have an IOU (for lack of a better term; it really is a debit note) but they get the cash. Sucks how the entire market is wired against us retail investors.
