Seriously considering shorting the stock on this. I firmly believe this will be their "New Coke" and heads should roll at Intuit.
Really is a travesty. For years GE Capital was the excuse, now it will be the rapid drop in oil. Never mind that he decided to move aggressively into energy at the top and made the Alstrom deal when Europe was about to implode. Pretty sad to look at a GE chart vs HON.
I actually believe today's underperformance by airlines is due to terrorism. Air France is getting hit pretty hard.
Sanctions or not, I'm sure the EU isn't happy paying over three times the US price for Nat gas. Dominion is also planning on exporting to Japan and India. As for renewables, the EU has found they couldn't afford the subsidies and had to cut them substantially.
well there goes the dividend, and they're going to bring it back at a rate in line with it's peers, which is #$%$
This guy at Baird should seriously be fired today. A buy all the way down, he chooses today to downgrade and the stock has already exceeded his price target.
While he's at it he should launch an investigation on the speculators driving down the price of oil and the failure of Pepsi to pass along the savings from the drop in corn prices to consumers.
Not only Red Lobster but just about every tenant they have benefit from lower oil. Lower oil will also keep rates lower, longer and on their last conference call Chipotle mentioned higher rents as a headwind. Despite the accounting shenanigans, the fundamentals are actual breaking right for ARCP.
Plaything for the shorts as it's been for years. Sadly, much of their problems today stem from having to overpay for Berry because of the bear raid and compliant SEC. Those same bears are still reaping the rewards.
