Terrible Q4 results, and now they've warned that Q1 will be even worse than they warned it would be in the Q4 ER.
Everything on their roadmap is completely overmatched by competitors' existing products, let alone future ones.
Every time you see a pumper say anything positive about this stock, do some research. You'll find they're repeating or making up someone's lies.
"There was Strong demand for its R9 Radeon Series GPU"
In what sense? It never once broke the top-10 in discrete graphics sales. "Strong" is a word that should not be allowed to be used by anyone with insider knowledge of AMD.
Glad to see you're totally pwned.
You might want to close your position and walk away if it hurts you that bad to look at the truth about AMD.
It's still happening.
And it makes me so much more money taking a long time than it would have if it had happened in just a couple of years.
I've never had to lie about AMD, and I've never had to lie about my attitudes about AMD.
People just keep falling for the company's lies and stuffing cash in my pockets.
You have to change the way you think. Unless you want to keep giving me money. Which is cool. What color crayon do you want your new shares in?
I WILL NEVER HAVE TO COVER.
Why buy the cow when they get the graphics for free?
AMD certainly isn't making any money on it.
Fitch, Moody's, and S&P have had AMD at junk status and dropping for a year.
VR is a joke. The sooner it flames out along with AMD, the sooner we can get back to productive work with technology.
"GS" in this case is one analyst at Goldman who analyzes a large number of stocks. They're not always right. Here's how you can tell they're wrong: They're telling you that AMD is a company worth buying and owning shares of.
Facebook made a huge mistake paying anything for Rift. AMD is lying to you about the value of its involvement in VR. You can make a VR headset out of your phone and a square of cardboard for free.
VR is clown technology. You are a clown for believing it's transformative.
Keep buying shares. Not because it's worth owning, but because it puts cash into my pocket.
VR has been around a long time. It sells a few units to rich kids then dies out every time it's brought back. GS is a bunch of dopes helping suits fleece goobers like you.
Keep buying. Your cash goes into my pocket and will never come back out.
So you don't remember how Hector let Intel take back all that x86 market share, then got his pay based on chasing market share, then chased market share by cratering pricing, and gained back almost none of the market share but made himself multi-million dollar bonuses every year, but left AMD with a revenue stream that was a small fraction of the one that existed when its asset base was constructed, leaving its debt completely uncovered.
Then he spent the remaining cash on ATI, paying 2.5X what it was worth (not the usual 1.5X), in hopes of creating Fusion chips (APUs), then delayed Fusion for years, ruining all of the goodwill value imputed to the purchase.
Then, in the meantime, he presided over the creation of Barcelona and all of its stillborn descendants, draining asset value and soaking up profits leaving the company facing foreclosure.
Then he sold out the fabs for a billion less than they were worth, and ran off to run the company that bought them, and got a multi-million dollar bonus for himself for doing it.
Now Globalfoundries drains AMD's cash due to a contract Hector negotiated that promises GF AMD's cash even if AMD doesn't order any chips from GF.
Are those the facts you never bothered to find out before you put money into this purpose-built lead blimp? Idiot.
Then do a google search for "Ken luskin angry voice mail." Warning: don't read it while drinking any liquid you don't actually want coming out of your nose.
Way to corncob your own hole, idiot.
VR is a total joke, and your fanboy fantasies aren't going to save AMD from the death spiral Hector set it on.
VR is a joke. Expensive headache machines will only be purchased by people too dumb to use their cellphones as VR machines.
If you're buying AMD stock because of VR headsets, you're probably reading this on a Yahoo! desktop, checking your bank balance on a Fidelity pad, then going into your Facebook room to cry about it to your mommy.
nVidia has silicon in hand and is showing it off. AMD? Nowhere to be seen.
What's your basis in this?
You're under water.
Too bad it's not the kind that will outright drown you.
