MTGE and AGNC are almost the same, except MTGE can go outside the agency mortgage securities market for its investments (albeit AGNC plays with the TBAs off-book, which really was a mistake).
The result is that MTGE has performed a little better, not losing quite as much since the taper started last year.
There are two ways to get a big yield:
1. Pay a big dividend.
2. Crash the stock price.
If AGNC isn't a good place to put your money, no mREIT comes close to being safe.
Google "American Capital Agency Corp. Dividend Date & History" and look in the left hand column for all of AGNC's past and present ex-dates.
AMD posted "profits" in the past two quarters, and the stock tanked 10-20% each time.
This time, AMD is even less likely to impress anyone.
But what do I know? I've just been shorting this disaster since 42, and I will never have to cover.
Oh, there's also the little matter of AMD not being a semiconductor manufacturing company any more.
Sold the farm to pay the loan on the clunker they bought and were going to fix up and race but ended up being too lazy and incompetent to get anything done.
Now ATI is sitting on blocks in the yard and AMD is renting the house it built, its overalls, and its dog.
Moore's company is on 14 nm, so, again, AMD LONGS ARE THE DUMBEST PEOPLE ON EARTH AND WANT YOU TO BE TOO SO KEEP BUYING AMD STOCK!!!!1!
I will never have to cover.
Yahoo will of course not permit the link to be posted. Google "Entrepreneur The 120 Most Trusted Brands".
Wynn comes in at #12. Surprisingly, right behind it is another casino-hotel, Bellagio. Unfortunately, up at #6 is another hotel brand, the Ritz-Carlton, or Wynn could have swept the competition. Venetian showed up at 28, MGM Grand at 70 (and 93 for Foxwoods), Mandalay Bay at 80, Borgata at 95, and Aria at 109. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone. Four Seasons, Mandarin, and some other hotel-only brands are in the mix as well (I suspect Mandarin placed as low as it did purely due to lack of exposure; I've never met anyone who's tried it who didn't think it was great, and personally I think even Wynn properties could benefit from studying their attitude and style).
"More than 900 brands were rated in the surveys." So the published list is only the top-13% of the gamut.
We're still looking for profits from the ATI acquisition.
Isn't that your job, helping the invalids, washing the bedpans, stealing their bus fare...
You know, good AMD engineering experience.
Actually, given that its true value is a large negative number, it's a miracle the workers don't show up to find a padlock on the doors every morning.
I've been #$%$ on pumpers' faces for decades.
for those of you AMD longs whose demonstrated inability to do the math necessitates spelling out simple progressions of fact
You rarely see so many lawyers all with the same exact charges leveled. The evidence is that clear-cut.
