    Great observation about no_bias infn_bull! I like being a bag-holder as it has been very enriching. The last few times no_bias has shown up the stock turns around. I think it was at 9, 13, and 18.

    The basic problem is time. The equivalent of 12,000 years is practically zero compared to the amount of time "life" has been on the planet. When the experimental evidence starts to get close to 100 million years equivalency and no significant changes have taken place then the creationists may have foot to stand on. Until then the scientific theory is way more plausible than the creationist theory.

    GS will be right eventually ... it is only a matter of timing... way too rosy of outlook... 29 billion differed costs to eat on 787... that is a lot of chow! Other cash cows are being phased out... there is a price to be paid for mismanagement of the Boeing Co... once institutions start bailing it will be a long way down...too bad the current management will be long gone with cashed out stock options and huge pensions. They will be writing books about what a great job they did as managers.

    Executive Bonuses

    The gangsters in Chicago who are responsible for any failures to get production right have decided to divorce themselves from their responsibilities (any failures in productivity) and pass the responsibility all the way down to the rank and file. You get it now? The executive class can do no wrong. Production and safety failures are not their responsibility. They are perfect leaders, they make a plan and it is perfect and thus they are greatly rewarded for the record profits of the Boeing Company. Welcome to the Divine Rights of CEO and the executive class. “We are better than all of you, the success of the company is our doing and the failures are all yours you lowly rank and file workers.”

  • Just read the great news in this morning’s Seattle Times (2/21/2015). The Boeing company executives in Chicago are giving the rank and file management greater bonuses than the rank and file workers. Since these are only the front line managers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd level) I am expecting that Jim McNerney and his executive teams will be getting even greater bonuses later. This is the classic case of the rich getting richer. Rather than share the profits evenly as in everyone gets a 5% bonus this year, which would support the One Boeing Team motto. The Chicago gangsters have decided something like this; 2% for rank and file workers, 12.5% for first line managers, 18% for 2nd line managers and 22.5% for 3rd level managers. You can only begin to imagine what the head gangsters will take for themselves. The aristocrats rule. The rational for all this has to be really twisted.

    Again this is a classic case of great words coming out of the mouths of the executives such as, “One Boeing”, the “BR&T Way”, “were all in this together”, “we work together as a team”, “we look out for each other”, etc. This one is a special message that says. You rank and file guys didn’t do a very good job on making record profits this year, but us executive who planned it all out did an excellent job. In fact us executives carried out our part so well that we will get much better bonuses. Maybe this has to do with Jim McNerney still believing that he has “them cowering in Seattle” and now he wants the rank and file to cower company wide.

    For those of you that don’t understand how “One Team” works I will explain it. If you give 10% bonuses across the board because the company makes record profits it works like this: 10% of average rank and file $80,000/year is an $8,000 bonus. For a super productive executive in Chicago making $5,000,000/year that equates to a $500,000 bonus. You get it now? That is putting the team in team. (to be continued)
