YRC will be bankrupt even before XPO. That's a feat in itself. If XPO buys them, I guess it would speed up putting XPO down and we can all move on.

By the way, to the bulls like Sarcean cheering it up at $32 a few weeks ago...you have lost 20% in about 30 days. Still bullish?

    Oversold condition

Sarcean, keep buying buddy. Lay those bets. Look, ANY company, reporting ADJUSTED earnings before ACTUAL earnings is saying "we have nothing good to report so look over here instead..." It should be illegal (and the SEC are actually looking into it). Free cash flow and GAAP earnings are what to look at. XPO has neither. Never has. Maybe never will. They reply too much on the economy in general and their ability to both service and roll over debt. The future is not in their own hands. It is in the unknown.

Chicken - yes Jacobs is a genius - as are his executives. The reason is THEY are getting rich no matter which way the stock goes. You are not. He uses YOUR money (and that of some massive pension funds) to overpay for companies, spend it as fast as possible, borrow as much as he can, and HE gets rich. In the end, he does NOT CARE WHAT HAPPENS to XPO. As long as he is rich, the rest of us should have just "sold when we had the chance at $50". Buyer beware.

    Manipulation

Optimist, the pumpers here have been cheer-leading this from the high 40's all the way down. They offer no evidence at all as to WHY it should go higher. They blindly repeat each other and talk about sales increases, synergies, and global reach.

If they have been buying over the last few months as they indicate then they have all lost their shirts (or they currently work there).

Math is math. I especially enjoyed the statement in the earnings released that said "don't worry, 70% of our debt doesn't mature until after 2021". Oh, ok. All is well with the world then! Lordy...

oh Lordy. Optimist is right, Sarcean. read the earnings SLOWLY. Massive debt. Massive losses. Capital intensive business. Stop crying over "manipulation". The big money always manipulates. That is what they do. They prey on us little guys. The bottom line on XPO is summed up as; debt, losses, capital costs, industry type. It is a $5 stock at best.

Adjusted EBITDA...adjusted. That's right. Adjusted. What a great accounting system we have. Adjusted.

Oh, but the ACTUAL loss... negative 21 cents per share when the market expected a 17 cent loss.

yeah yeah. I hear you all. It is ok to take out one time adjustments. The only problem is that XPO always seem to have more "one time" adjustments to tell us about. They should be called "every time" adjustments.
