The conference call is this week. I have put together some Management talking points:
1. Refrain from using the term "unlocking shareholder value." The rights offering scheme might be many things, but "unlocking shareholder value" is not one of them.
2. Refrain from bragging about your being the only BDC to issue "baby bonds." They have been recalled and we are tired of hearing you talk about them as if there were some sort of a financial innovation.
3. Quit telling us how many total dividends have been paid since inception, because that is only half of the equation. Initial investors have also experienced seven dollars in capital losses (15 dollars minus the current share price of 8 dollars). Moreover, dividends are not guaranteed. They can be reduced; they can be suspended entirely.
4. If an analyst asks a probing question and touches a sore spot, refrain from behaving arrogantly and in an unpleasant manner.
