PNC; in multiple states with headquarters in Pittsburgh has received license from Canada for full range of commercial banking. PNC doing business across Midwest from New York City to Chicago, St Louis , Detroit, Ohio, Indiana, and parts south including Florida. Maybe advantage for ARTW in business ventures across border. ARTW has divisions in Canada, Ohio, and Iowa.
research on fast track with this disaster. Labs can be shipped, certified, and assembled asap much faster then stick built and are cost effective long lasting.
Columbus Dispatch has reported possible break through by researchers identifying virus in piglets. Unfortunately won't be ready until 2015 at earliest. OSU has purchased from "Scientific," lab research modules division of ARTW.
in research, more news coming on stevia in near future. Maybe next leg up. Profits shocked analyst. Revenue held back for higher margins. Testing in China & Viet Nam, tropical areas. Mixed seeds with Australia & California combo for higher revenue lower costs. Mexico & Africa increased sales. Saudi Arabia sales not included will drive revenue at higher margins. Sum it up lower costs due to Australia seeds, revenue held back due to higher margin. Any break through in Asia or Stevia will drive SANW higher and drive shorts to cover. Earnings we're positive surprise.
lets see if short gets trapped with ask @ $6.25. dangerous game with huge spread and stock closely held by so few. Any positive news on Pig Virus news by "Scientific," and its off races to upside.
ok I will give you that most likely all snow blowers we're sold or moved to States. Maybe that will cover expenses in Canada. Question is for your point did Canada manufacture any more snow blowers for new orders or we're dealers reluctant to bring in winter equipment late in year? However I believe strength of Canada is selling rest of ARTW line and having product on hand to deliver. In past Canada took orders and filled them months later after equipment was manufactured and shipped. Would seem some equipment would be available in Canada for immediate sales. Even if it was display models. Is the labor in States having an adverse effect on stocking and shipping? With farm bill signed this week it will be interesting to see if "Scientific," which maybe winner in farm bill to attract and close orders. Lab research for pigs is heating up.
remember most winter equipment is stocked @ retail distribution in summer or beginning fall so unfortunately most likely ARTW did not see this coming. For sure Canada will become an important distribution point for ARTW in future. Key is having equipment on hand to sell vice versa snow blowers on hand to sell in the States. Entry point for ARTW into Canada was warm winters and lack equipment sales in Canada of snow blowers. Previous owner had more profitable steel structure business. Though Canada may take awhile to perform it will be successful more so if ARTW can move into Western Canada where the large farms are located. ARTW obtained sales staff in Canada, new product (snow blowers) and a small warehouse/mfg plant with a credible manager whom ARTW had relationship for years.
Arts-Way-Mfg and Vessels. Includes office personnel, engineers, welders etc. Assuming spring is coming orders are flowing. Here is importance to hiring according to latest news "Farm Bill," should be passed soon.
news today on downtrend on ARTW since last July when SmarTrend recommended selling/shorting ARTW. Pressure on stock comes from them after verifying Zacks has no recommendation. Seeking Alpha releases news to Pro subscribers which I do not know anyone want comment ?. Breaking trend will take positive news from ARTW such as earnings, new contracts, sales, while the company has been quiet going into earnings. Insider sales/buys of course may influence investors. Summing up there is no reason to sell ARTW at these levels on news.
Bandit mfer wood chippers etc with 400 employees located in Michigan walked away from Alamo Group! sounds like Bandit was protecting employee's and dealer network. ARTW would be perfect fit though Bandit appears be much larger.
after a less then factual article posted on Seeking Alpha SANW revealed research with breeder on Stevia answering article! facts are Alfalfa seeds in demand and shortage worldwide with SANW holding 18-19 million pounds and due to market conditions may hold back for sale next year.
conference call or the 10q will explain everything. In meantime most likely there was a connection between two companies such as ARTW purchased from AC. You would assume ARTW did not seek out this asset however there is a synergy between two companies. Universal Harvester and AC definitely have synergy. ARTW has done extremely well with UH and AC will open up ARTW away from AG business and also add to it. Location in Ohio is first manufacturing plant outside Iowa and new addition in Canada. We shall learn how much manufacturing is being done in Canada. Additionally I see Canada as a distribution point for all ARTW divisions including AC.
bought all of 5 shares today on a 300 buy above ask which was 200 shares @ $6.95 had a limit of $7.01 didn't even call Scottrade as to time & sales cause 5 shares does not post. Obviously 200 shares we're sold elsewhere in 2 trades of 100 each. One trade seconds before me and other after me?? Usually I don't announce trades but this is unbelievable. so there must have been zero stock up to $7.01......
