8 TSA workers arrested in parking-pass case

8 TSA workers, 1 American Eagle employee charged in theft of airport parking lot passes

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- An airline employee and eight workers for the federal airport security-screening agency have been arrested on charges related to the theft and resale of parking passes at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Airport police said Friday that 129 employee parking passes were stolen in March from an airport office of Fort Worth, Texas-based American Eagle airlines.

Police said that some passes were sold for $100 each to Transportation Security Administration employees, who used them to park in airport employee lots. TSA workers normally have to pay $400 a year to park in those lots.

One TSA worker faces felony theft charges, accused of reselling the passes. The other TSA workers and the American Eagle employee face misdemeanor theft charges.
