Air Products, citing share price volatility, halts Web posting of monthly sales updates

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (AP) -- Air Products and Chemicals Inc. said Monday it will discontinue its monthly sales updates due to excessive volatility in its share price.
The Allentown, Pa., company, which supplies oxygen and other gases to the industrial and medical sectors, said it is halting the sales updates on its Web site because the company's stock price "has been exhibiting increased volatility around the release dates."
Shares edged up 92 cents, or 1 percent, to $78.05 in afternoon trading.
