MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Aerospace and defense company Alliant Techsystems said Thursday that it received a three-year Army contract with a potential value of more than $200 million that entails supplying a variety of ammunition to Afghan security forces.
The pact includes small, medium and large-caliber ammunition, mortars and rockets. Its initial $105 million sum could climb to more than $200 million by the contract's end if all options are fully exercised.
Alliant received its first contract from the Army, worth $87 million, in December 2008.
