BancFirst agrees to buy First Jones Bancorp

BancFirst agrees to acquire First Jones Bancorp, expects closing by end of the year

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Financial services holding company BancFirst Corp. said Friday it has agreed to acquire First Jones Bancorp. and its subsidiary First State Bank.

Terms weren't disclosed.

First State Bank has about $40 million in total assets, $11 million in loans, $35 million in deposits and $4.6 million in equity capital.

First State Bank's systems are expected to be merged into the BancFirst system during the second quarter of 2010.

The deal is scheduled to close by Dec. 31 and is subject to regulatory approval.

BancFirst shares closed up 2 cents to close at $35.90 Friday.
