VeriChip Corp. (CHIP) engages in the development of human-implantable RFID microchip technology for patient identification. The Company's product is the world's first and only human-implantable RFID (radio frequency identification) microchip cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

"On June 11, 2009, the WHO raised the threat of the H1N1 to phase 6, a pandemic alert of the highest level. According to the WHO, phase 4 through phase 6 alerts include recommendations to mitigate the spread of the H1N1.
