MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 18, 2008 -- Bombardier (Toronto:BBD-A.TO - News)(Toronto:BBD-B.TO - News) announced today that Ms. Jane F. Garvey is stepping down as Board member, effective today. Ms. Garvey has accepted to serve on the transition team of U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.

Ms. Garvey's departure from Bombardier's Board brings the total number of Directors to 12, of whom seven are independent. A search will be undertaken for her replacement.
