ELKHART, Ind. (AP) -- CTS Corp., which makes electronic components and sensors, said Thursday it has received a production program for a sensor for engines for motorcycles manufactured by an Indian company.
The Elkhart, Ind., company did not identify the company.
CTS will supply a a small engine throttle position sensor that will be part of the carburetor assembly on engines for motorcycles. It will be a component allowing the motorcycle manufacturer to meet tighter emission standards being introduced in India, CTS said.
Production is expected to begin late this year, with 2010 revenue of about $1.5 million, the company said.
Shares fell 36 cents, or nearly 4 percent, to $8.94 in afternoon trading.
