LOS ANGELES, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 2, 2008 -- Chef Mary Payne Moran, the hip, young culinary expert of her generation, will introduce her new branded T-shirts and shopping bags on December 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, at a special holiday bazaar held at the Audrey K. boutique. Located in the heart of Kenneth Village, at 1411 1/2 Kenneth Road in Glendale, Calif., Audrey K. will also showcase featured clothing designers like Stellarocco, jewelry, gifts, crafts, cards and body care items. People who visit the store before 1:00 p.m. that day will be served Moran's homemade breakfast hors d'oeuvres and spiced cider. To inspire others to cook, Moran is giving away a free holiday recipe and kitchen tip with every T-shirt sold.

Moran collaborated with W. Bennett Berry, a rising star in the art world, to create the design for her T-shirts and shopping bags: it depicts the smiling Chef Moran wearing a jauntily perched toque (chef's hat) and twirling a peppermill. The slim-fit, extra-long t-shirts come in white with black imprint. They are 100% cotton and retail for $24. Moran's design is also available on canvas shopping bags ($25), which come with a grocery list, recipe and kitchen tip.

During the bazaar and thereafter, Moran will donate 15% of proceeds from the sale of her T-shirts and bags to Aviva Family and Children's Services (http://www.avivacenter.org), a non-profit, multi-service agency that provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth and their families throughout greater Los Angeles. Services include residential treatment, community mental health services, family preservation, after-school care, special education and foster family placement.

"The holidays are a time when people think about giving back to the community, but there are things you can do all year that can help," says Moran, who operates a successful catering/home chef business and finds time to teach children in the third to eighth grades a "Culinary Kidz" class about healthy cooking and food choices every Friday at The Hollywood Schoolhouse, through her "Chef Mary Cooks it Up" lecture series. "One of the reasons I'm so excited to launch my products at Audrey K. is that the boutique supports local designers, so you won't see these clothes on every other person."

Audrey K., a popular wardrobe stylist and the owner of the eponymous boutique, has been dressing Moran for appearances and events for the past several years. "I love Audrey K.'s lightweight, unfussy, great-fitting clothes because they're fashionable, comfortable and perfect for any occasion," says Moran. "Audrey has helped me develop my own personal style."

To view Moran's T-shirt designs, visit the merchandise section of her web site: www.marypaynemoran.com, which also features webisodes and blogs that are updated each week with Moran's tips on menu planning on a budget, recipes, grocery shopping, culinary how-to's, funny cooking stories, and other helpful hints. She also profiles specific ingredients used in that week's recipes and answers questions from readers.
