VAN NUYS, Calif. (AP) -- Cherokee Inc. said Tuesday it will license its Sideout brand for men's and boys' knit tops to JEM Sportswear.
The Van Nuys, Calif.-based clothing marketer used to sell its Sideout brand at Mervyn's stores, which have been liquidated in a bankruptcy proceeding.
Cherokee said it planned to have Sideout products on the market through JEM by spring or summer 2010.
Cherokee shares rose 59 cents, or 2.9 percent, to close at $20.94 Tuesday.
