China Yuchai enters into short-term $35M loan

China Yuchai agrees to short-term loan valued at $35 million with DBS Bank of Singapore

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Chinese diesel engine maker China Yuchai International Ltd. said Wednesday it has entered into a short-term loan with DBS Bank Ltd. of Singapore.

The new loan has a value of $40 million Singapore dollars ($34.7 million) with a one-year duration.

The new facility will be used to finance the company's long-term working capital requirements.

Shares of China Yuchai added 3 cents to $8.39 in afternoon trading.
