The Pond at Bryant Park, made possible by Citi, provides locals and visitors with a one-stop-shop for outdoor winter fun and New York City’s first and only free admission ice skating rink. The 17,000-square-foot rink offers 360 degree viewing access and can accommodate up to 500 people.

About Special Guests Nancy Kerrigan and Hayley Sacks

Nancy Kerrigan is by far one of America’s most popular and versatile performers, known for her beauty and artistry on ice. U.S. Champion and winner of two Olympic and World medals, she is an audience favorite wherever she appears. She has overcome great odds to achieve her status as one of the country’s most popular and sought after skaters for television specials, tours, and personal appearances and commercials. Her inner strength and commitment were evidenced in the highly publicized 1994 episode when she was physically attacked at the U.S. Nationals and returned a month later to win the coveted Olympic silver medal in one of the most-watched and closest decisions in Olympic skating. She and her husband and their three children reside in Lynnfield, Massachusetts.

Hayley Sacks hails from New Rochelle, NY. Most recently she was a 2008 World Competitor, Senior Pairs, at the World Figure Skating Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, finishing in 17^th place. She is a 2010 Olympic hopeful. Hayley has skated in various charity exhibitions, including Blades Against Aids, which raised over $25,000 for Save The Children AIDS in Africa program, and in an exhibition honoring Israel’s 60^th birthday, which raised money to build an ice rink outside Tel Aviv. She was also a coach and choreographer for the 2007 Special Olympics competition held at Lake Arrowhead in California.
