TRIANGLE, Va. (AP) -- Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. and the United Mine Workers of America have reached agreement on a five-year contract.The UMW announced Thursday that Cleveland-based Cliffs Natural Resources has accepted essentially the same contract that was negotiated with the Bituminous Coal Operators Association in June. No ratification vote is required.Union President Cecil Roberts says the agreement covers 425 union miners at the Pinnacle mine in Wyoming County and 450 members at the Oak Grove mine and preparation plant in Jefferson County, Ala. The agreement includes a $6 per hour wage increases and maintains health care and pension benefits.The agreement is retroactive to July 1 and is effective through 2016.
