NEW YORK (AP) -- Utility company Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc. on Monday named Craig Ivey president, effective Nov. 1.
Ivey replaces Con Edison president and chief operating officer Louis Rana, who is retiring after 40 years of service.
Ivey, 46, previously served for two years as senior vice president for transmission and distribution at Dominion Resources in Virginia. He joined Dominion in 1985.
Con Edison is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison Inc.
Shares of Consolidated Edison rose 40 cents to $41.08 in afternoon trading.
