Under the terms of this new task order, DRC will provide program management, business process improvement and knowledge management solutions. The task order has a base year and four one-year options and was awarded under the Department of Homeland Security Professional and Program Management Support Services (PPMSS) blanket purchase agreement.

"DRC has proven experience supporting every major component of the DHS from transportation security to law enforcement to intelligence activities," said Chuck Schefer, DRC senior vice president and general manager of the Kadix Management Consulting Group. "We are committed to bringing the full extent of our management consulting capabilities and homeland security expertise to support the NEDCTP."

NEDCTP prepares dogs and handlers to serve on the front lines of America's War on Terror. These very effective, mobile teams can quickly locate and identify explosive materials that may present a threat to transportation systems. In addition, they can quickly rule out the presence of explosive materials in unattended packages, structures or vehicles, allowing the free and efficient flow of commerce.

The DHS PPMSS vehicle is a multiple award schedule blanket purchase agreement designed by GSA and DHS to provide Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS), focusing on business oriented professional and program management support.
