When the author receives messages from the Blessed Mother, they usually come in the form of dreams about people or by a locution or sentence that comes into her head -- as if someone spoke it to her. She emphasizes one message she had which said, "Glory to the Miners." At first, she didn't understand what this meant but she later realized that her town had one of the biggest mining areas in the United States in the early 1900's. She recounts the big mining rescue in Pennsylvania in 2001 wherein the miners who were trapped in the mine and yet miraculously survived and lived to tell their tale. Not all mining rescues, however, are successful.

Everyday, miners risk their lives in the mines and one of the things that help them keep going is their great faith in God. These men and women sacrifice their lives every working day so that the rest of the people can have power. About the Author

Jeanne Marie Sullivan Tuohy was born in New York City. After a year, her parents moved her and her twin brother to upstate New York. It was there that she grew up with her three brothers and one sister. She graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School and then went to Orange County Community College, where she earned an associate degree in liberal arts. She went to Dominican College after and received a degree in Special Education with a minor in English, and with departmental honors. She is now married with one child living in New Jersey. She follows the Catholic religion and attends St. Paul's Catholic Church in Haledon. She spends her time taking care of her son and writing in her spare time.
