HOUSTON (AP) -- EV Energy Partners LP said Wednesday it has completed an offering of 2.8 million shares, and its underwriters exercised the option to buy an additional 420,000 shares.
The shares were priced at $22.83 each.
EV Energy, a limited partnership that develops oil and gas properties, intends to use the $71.7 million in proceeds after expenses to fund its its recently announced Appalachia acquisition and for future acquisitions. It may also use the money to pay down debt.
Raymond James, Citi, RBC Capital Markets and Wells Fargo Securities were joint book-running managers.
EV Energy is based in Houston. Its shares rose 15 cents to $23.25 in midday trading.
