HOUSTON (AP) -- Oil and gas producer EV Energy Partners LP said Friday it priced its public offering of 2.8 million shares at $22.83 per share.
The price represents a 5.8 percent discount from the stock's closing price Thursday of $24.16, and shares began falling in Friday trading. The stock was off $1.11, or 4.6 percent, to $23.05 in morning trading.
EV Energy said it expects net proceeds of $62.3 million from the offering, excluding an overallotment option granted to the underwriters to purchase another 420,000 shares.
The company said it plans to use the proceeds for general partnership purposes, including acquisitions.
Raymond James, Citi, RBC Capital Markets and Wells Fargo Securities are joint bookrunning managers for the offering.
