Gold companies shares up at 10 a.m.

NEW YORK (AP) -- 

Shares of some top gold companies are up at 10 a.m.:
Barrick Gold rose $1.35 or 3.2 percent, to $42.98.
Gold Fields rose $.49 or 3.5 percent, to $14.49.
Goldcorp rose $1.73 or 4.2 percent, to $42.96.
Newmont Mining rose $1.40 or 2.9 percent, to $50.44.
