OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) -- CommVault Systems Inc. reported a flat fiscal second-quarter profit as rising operating expenses and revenue costs overshadowed an increase in sales.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Eye drug maker Alcon Inc. said its profit fell 18 percent in the third quarter compared with a year ago, when it received a large tax benefit.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Silicon Laboratories Inc.'s third-quarter profit leaped as the chip designer reported an 11 percent increase in revenue and lower expenses. Stronger demand for consumer electronics helped lift the results.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Public Service Enterprise Group Inc., which generates, transmits and distributes electric energy, said its third-quarter profit fell 26 percent, which compared unfavorably with the same quarter last year.
