SAN DIEGO, Jan. 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Entropic Communications, Inc. (NasdaqGM:ENTR - News), a leading provider of silicon solutions to enable connected home entertainment, today announced that Vinay Gokhale has joined the company as its senior vice president of marketing and business development. Vinay joins the company from SiRF Technology, Inc. where he was vice president of wireless. In his new role at Entropic, Vinay will lead all facets of Entropic's marketing function including product management, product definition, technical marketing and communications, and will lead Entropic's business development activities working with service providers worldwide.
