Esterline's president named chief executive, elected to board

BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) -- Esterline Corp., an aerospace and defense contractor, said Monday company President R. Bradley Lawrence has been named CEO and elected to the board, effective Nov. 1.
Lawrence, 62, will replace Robert Cremin as CEO. Cremin, who has been with the company for 33 years, will continue to serve as a non-executive chairman of the board through early 2011.
Earlier this year, Lawrence was named president and chief operating officer at Esterline. He previously served as a group vice president, and spent five years as president of Esterline's Advanced Input operation.
Shares of Esterline added a penny to close at $37.89.
