OLIVE BRANCH, Miss., June 18, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Life has its way of leading people down the different paths they encounter in their existence. Since life is often too short, people frequently don't have the time to reflect on the life that is occurring around them. Readers on the lookout for an enthralling odyssey must read Life Lines, a new book featuring the poetry and life insights of poet Dezarae Dunsmuir. The author has given great thought when selecting the photographic art that accompanies each poem, which enhances each poem's meaning and adds depth to its narrative.
Life Lines is a collection of poems that emphasizes life through the experiences, feelings and observations of the poet. These literary pieces provide readers with an in-depth look at the ever changing situations of life, truth's ways of affecting people, the emotions that drive the spirit and nature's creations, to name a few. This collection is filled with provocative glimpses of life moments that move from the gritty reality of modern cities to the serenity found in nature, all of which will keep any reader looking forward to the next poem.
From the first page until the very end, these works will keep readers engaged and immersed in the author's personal perceptions of life and the world. "I employ two different forms of art, the written word and photography, to increase the emotional impact of each poem on the reader, as well as have each medium amplify the other," states Dezarae. "If the work presents the reader with a new perspective or creates an emotional impact, my writing has succeeded."
Filled with emotional depth and revelations, the sometimes unexpected, frequently startling, highly charged poetry of Life Lines is highly recommended to poetry enthusiasts, photographic art lovers and readers who seek reflective literature. This is one of two new books by this new author being featured at the 2009 Frankfurt International Book Fair.
