LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire -11/29/11)- Farmers Insurance has selected Bob Sadler, a 17-year insurance veteran, for the post of Executive Vice President of Independent Agency Operations beginning in January of the incoming year.

In his current role as Vice President of Independent Agency Operations for Farmers, he oversees the company's relationships with its independent agents who represent the Foremost and Bristol West brands.
Sadler joined the Bristol West Insurance Group in 2001 as part of the merger with Reliant Insurance. Originally overseeing the Group's Sales and Marketing units, he was later promoted in 2007 to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bristol West Holdings, Inc. In 2009, Sadler was elected President of Bristol West Holdings, Inc.
Prior to his years in insurance, Sadler, a Certified Public Accountant, served seven years with the Ernst & Young accounting firm, focusing on financial services clients. He is also a proud graduate of the University of Maryland.
