FedEx freight subsidiary names new CEO

FedEx Freight names William Logue to replace retiring Douglas Duncan as president and CEO

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- FedEx Corp. said on Tuesday it has named William J. Logue as president of its subsidiary FedEx Freight Corp. effective Dec. 1.

The company said Logue will also become CEO after the retirement of Douglas G. Duncan on Feb. 28, 2010.

Logue joined FedEx in 1989 when it acquired the Flying Tiger freight company. He is currently executive vice president and chief operating officer for FedEx Express-United States.

FedEx shares added $1.45, or 2 percent, to $74.32 in afternoon trading.
