Shares of some top airlines companies were down at the close of trading:
AMR fell $.11 or 2.1 percent, to $5.19.
AirTran fell $.12 or 2.8 percent, to $4.13.
Continental fell $.04 or .3 percent, to $11.54.
DeltaAir fell $.06 or .8 percent, to $7.16.
JetBlue fell $.13 or 2.7 percent, to $4.76.
Southwest fell $.08 or 1.0 percent, to $8.20.
UAL fell $.18 or 2.7 percent, to $6.46.
US Airways fell $.01 or .3 percent, to $2.92.
