Coal companies shares down at the close of trading

NEW YORK (AP) -- 

Shares of some top coal companies were down at the close of trading:
Arch Coal fell $1.19 or 6.9 percent, to $16.02.
Consol Energy fell $3.16 or 10.5 percent, to $27.04.
Massey Energy fell $.82 or 5.6 percent, to $13.70.
Peabody Energy fell $2.35 or 9.2 percent, to $23.33.
