NEW YORK (AP) -- 

Shares of some top finance companies were up at the close of trading:
Bank of America rose $.72 or 4.8 percent, to $15.77.
Citigroup rose $.13 or 3.2 percent, to $4.19.
JPMorgan Chase rose $.87 or 2.0 percent, to $44.35.
