Shares of some top medical devices companies were mixed at the close of trading: Abbott Labs rose $.36 or .7 percent, to $50.06. Allergan rose $.42 or 1.1 percent, to $39.58. Bard rose $1.48 or 1.8 percent, to $84.72. Baxter fell $.11 or .2 percent, to $52.91. Boston Scientific rose $.08 or 1.1 percent, to $7.43. Hospira fell $.32 or 1.2 percent, to $25.51. Johnson & Johnson rose $.50 or .9 percent, to $58.84. Medtronic unchanged at $32.45. St Jude Medical fell $.39 or 1.2 percent, to $30.96. Stryker rose $.47 or 1.2 percent, to $40.46. Zimmer fell $.09 or .2 percent, to $40.98.
