NEW YORK (AP) -- 

Shares of some top oil companies were up at the close of trading:
Chevron rose $.13 or .2 percent, to $77.66.
ConocoPhillips rose $.74 or 1.4 percent, to $52.85.
Exxon Mobil rose $.69 or 1.0 percent, to $72.85.
Marathon Oil rose $.91 or 2.7 percent, to $34.59.
