Flagstar Bancorp names Campanelli president, CEO
Flagstar Bancorp names Joseph Campanelli as president, CEO, replacing Mark Hammond

TROY, Mich. (AP) -- Flagstar Bancorp Inc. said Thursday Joseph Campanelli has been elected president and CEO.
Campanelli replaces Mark Hammond, who had previously announced he was leaving the company. Hammond had served as CEO since 2002 and president since 1995.
Campanelli will also join the board of directors. He had recently served as president and CEO of Sovereign Bancorp Inc.
Separately, the bank said B. Brian Tauber is leaving his position on the board to focus on other business ventures.
Flagstar Bancorp is a regional bank that operates branches in Michigan, Indiana and Georgia. It originates loans nationwide.
